Titel: MausefalleTitle: Mousetrap
State of the art : Mouse traps of the usual manufacturing type work on two different principles: 1. the mouse is caught alive, 2. the mouse is killed. In the following, we refer to mouse traps in which the mouse is killed. Mouse traps of this principle usually consist of a wooden base plate and a steel wire with a spring stretched over it.
Für1 den Gebrauch in Wohnräumen eignen sie sich daher nicht Problem : Mouse traps manufactured in the usual way pose a risk of injury, especially for children . They are therefore not suitable for use in living spaces
This problem is solved with the measures in the claim. The mousetrap is child-safe because the mechanism only becomes effective after the thread has been bitten through; a child can therefore put a finger into the opening without harm. There is also no risk of injury for adults if they touch it with their fingers or feet, nor when setting up the trap.
Another advantage of this trap is that the catching principle, unlike conventional traps, follows the nature of mice: a loophole plus food is offered - and is therefore readily accepted by mice.
