Der neuerungsgemäße Tortenring ist besonders für im Haushalt herzustellende Quark-Sahne- und Obsttorten mit Gu3 geeignet. Derartige Tortenringe aus Metall sind bekannt. Sie werden z.T. aus Federbandstahl hergestellt, sodaß die Eigenspannung des Materials die Formbeständigkeit des Ringes begünstigt. Nachteilig ist bei diesen Tortenringen, daß sie mit flachanliegenden Führungs- und Feststellklammern um das zu bearbeitende Gebäck angebracht und arretiert werden müssen, ohne daß dabei die Ringenden frei greifbar sind. Es ist daher nur eine sehr schwierige und umständliche Schließung und öffnung des Tortenringes am Gebäck möglich.The new cake ring is particularly suitable for quark cream and fruit cakes with Gu3 that are made at home.
