Zwischen der oberen und unteren Partie ist eine Schublade (Außenmaße 36,5cm x36,5cm &khgr; 1 cm) eingeführt, welche aus einem 3cm breiten Holzrahmen und einer davon eingefassten milbenundurchlässigen Spezialgaze (Durchläßigkeit 0,5mm) besteht. Die Lade ist nach hinten herausziehbar und somit leicht vom Schädlingsfall zu reinigen. Um die Lade besser herausziehen zu können, ist an der Vorderseite eine Schlaufe angebracht. Im vorderen Teil des Zwischenbodens ist eine Flugschneise eingelassen, durch die die Bienen in den Stock gelangen können (vgl. zur besseren Veranschaulichung beiliegene Zeichnungen)The intermediate floor has external dimensions of 50cm x 55cm x 3cm.
