Swap body for trucks with a tipping and settling device

The invention relates to an interchangeable body for trucks with a tipping and depositing device which with the aid of a power-operated movement mechanism engages the body and brings it from a deposited loading position optionally into a transport or a tilted emptying position (and vice versa), wherein the elongated rectangular, box-shaped body has at least one top loading opening and one rear emptying opening and the upper edges of the long sides have support rails for a second body to be supported on top.

collected in a swap body parked there and - as soon as it is full - transported away together with the body. While these bodies used for the removal of construction waste are open at the top, the collection containers for recyclable material such as glass, waste paper, etc., which have become popular in recent times and are fitted with similar fittings for the purpose of appropriate handling, have a box that is also closed at the top and usually has several loading openings, which are closed by lids that can usually be locked.

An increasingly serious problem is the misuse of open swap bodies ("containers") for the unauthorized 'wild disposal' of waste of any kind. However, as soon as, for example, pure construction rubble contains other types of components (such as organic, metallic or other types), the fees for the disposal of such "mixed construction rubble" often have to be paid several times higher than for the disposal of pure construction rubble.

In order to secure the accommodation space of an (open) swap body of the type described above against unauthorized introduction of waste, the invention proposes to further develop the stacking of several bodies on top of each other, which is known in the state of the art to save space and is made possible by structural means (support rails), in such a way that locking means are provided that allow the body to be placed on top of, set down on and tipped together with a second body on top. This blocks access to the interior of the lower body and creates the possibility of placing another empty container (body) together with a filled rubble container.

to transport, which makes some logistical tasks easier to solve. In particular, it is also possible to empty the lower filled container without setting down a second container structure above it by (joint) tipping.

A particularly advantageous development is achieved if the second - superimposed - structure is not an open (debris) container but a container of the above-mentioned closed type with several loading openings and lid closures. This is because several different disposal tasks can be solved at the storage location at the same time. It should be taken into account that collected waste material is lighter than construction rubble, so that both structures can be transported filled.

It can also be provided that at least the lower interchangeable structure has an internal cover which does not hinder the support of the second structure.

If the second structure is a box that is also closed at the top and has several loading openings accessible through lids, it advantageously has partition walls that run parallel to the rear wall and can be opened from the outside to the (partial) interior space adjacent to the rear emptying opening. In this way, the partial interior spaces of the second container that are filled with different waste can be emptied through the rear wall at different stations by tipping without the need for any further handling measures.

The locking mechanism for the two structures to one another, which allows them to be put on and taken off together, is advantageously positive hook connections, which can also withstand rough use in traffic and on construction sites.

The drawings illustrate the invention using embodiments. In it:

The truck chassis shown in all drawings (except Fig. 6) has a conventional tipping and lowering device, which consists of an angle arm 1 with hook 2, an intermediate arm 3 and a tipping arm. The swap body, designated as a whole with 5, has a (swivel-away) hook eye 6 on its front, which is used when setting down and lowering the truck as well as in the (shown)

in the attached state engages in the hook 2 (see also Fig. 6).

When mounted, a latch 7 attached to the tilting arm 4 engages in an eyelet (not shown) on the underside of the structure 5 and in this way creates a positive connection between the tilting arm 4 and the structure 5, so that during the tipping process - with the help of a hydraulic device (not shown) - the arms 1, 3 and 4 together with the structure 5 reach the inclined tilting position (Fig. 3 to 5). To set it down, the angle arm 1 is first tilted backwards about its pivot axis la so that the structure 5 is pushed out of the locking mechanism with the latch 7. A further actuation then leads to the intermediate arm 3 being raised about the pivot axis 3a, whereupon the structure 5 is pushed further back on the rollers 8 and can finally be placed on the ground while tilting at an angle.

This mechanism for setting down and putting down is just as well known as the arrangement of support rails 9 along the upper edges of the long sides 10 of the structure 5 (see also Fig. 6) in order to support a second structure thereon, which can be either a similar structure 5a (Fig. 1) or a different structure 50 (Figs. 2 to 6).

According to the invention, additional locking means are provided in the form of front hooks 11 and rear hooks 12, which secure the relative position of the basic structure and the second structure to each other, which can be seen in all drawing figures. In the exemplary embodiments shown, the front hooks 11 on the second structure 5a or 50 engage in the (top-open) profiles

13 on the body 5, while the hooks 12 attached to the rear in the area of the upper edges of the body 5 engage behind the reduced-diameter sections 14 of the rollers 15 (of the second attachment 5a or 50), which serve to roll the body or second body inclined downwards to the ground when the body or second body is set down. In this way, the second body 5a or 50 can be picked up or set down with the (first) body 5 in a "piggyback" relationship with the body 5 by the tipping and setting down device of the truck without any change being required to the tipping and setting down device (with which the second body was also placed on the body below - and can be removed later).

The (similar) structures 5 and 5a shown in Fig. 1 are open at the top, but according to Fig. 6 such a structure can also be provided with an internal cover 16, which does not prevent the support of a similar structure 5a or - as in Fig. 6 - a different structure 50.

The structure 5 has a flap 17 on the back - here pivotable about a vertical axis - for the emptying opening there. It can be opened independently of the second structure and without the latter having to be set down - if the structure 5 is to be emptied in the tilted position (Fig. 4). In a similar way, the different second structure 50 can be emptied by opening its rear flap of the emptying opening, here pivotable about a horizontal axis.

The structure 50 is a container closed on all sides with several loading openings and lids 18 associated with them, which lead to partial interior spaces of the second structure 50, which are separated from one another by intermediate spaces (not shown). In the event of emptying, these intermediate walls can be optionally opened from the outside so that in the tilted emptying state (Fig. 5) the individual partial interior spaces can be emptied one after the other (into different receiving stations) through the rear wall flap 19.

The interior of the structure 50 can also be divided lengthwise by an intermediate wall running parallel to the side walls 10; then, instead of one rear wall flap 19, two rear wall flaps would have to be provided next to each other.

Claims (5)

Expectations 1. Swap body for trucks with a tipping and depositing device which, with the aid of a power-operated movement mechanism, engages the body and brings it from a deposited loading position into either a transport or a tilted emptying position (and vice versa), whereby the elongated, rectangular, box-shaped body has at least one loading opening on the top and one emptying opening on the back, and the upper edges of the long sides have support rails for a second body to be supported on top, characterized in that locking means (11, 12) are provided which allow the structure (5) to be placed on, placed on and tilted together with a second structure (5a; 50) supported on top of it. 2. Swap body according to claim 1, characterized in that a second structure (50) provided on the upper side with cover closures (18) for several loading openings covers the structure (5) which is open on the upper side. 3. Swap body according to claim 2, characterized in that an internal cover (16) is provided which does not hinder the support of the second structure (5a; 50). 4. Swap body according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that positive hook connections (11, 13; 12, 14) serve as locking means. 5. Interchangeable body according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the second body (50) has intermediate walls running parallel to the rear wall (19) which can be opened from the outside to the (partial) interior space adjacent to the rear emptying opening.
