Description
The invention relates to one of several coaxially arranged Individual filters existing filter insert for fuel filters. There are a number of fuel and oil filters with several spatially separated individual filters became known, which inevitably one after the other from the liquid to be cleaned in the direction from the inside to the outside or vice versa. Such Filters generally have a sludge collection space located in the lower part of the filter housing, from which the sludge can be drained through an opening. The one between the The chambers located in the individual filters pass through the bottom of the Filter insert separated from the main sludge collection space. These filters have the disadvantage that the impurities that have passed a single filter and be held back by the downstream individual filter, in the lower part the chamber can initially stand off, but always through the flow of liquid again washed against the downstream individual filter and thus through the filter material be pushed through. Another disadvantage of such filters is that the im Diesel fuel contains water after it is in the resting state Chamber has settled, also seep to the side of the cleaned fuel can. This can damage the sensitive injection system.
These disadvantages are caused by the filter insert according to the invention avoided that the chamber formed by two adjacent individual filters in their lower part has an additional sludge collection space, which through the impermeable Bottom and the individual filter adjoining this on the inflow side on the one hand and on the other hand, bounded on the outlet side by an impermeable partition is. an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing, namely Fig. 1 shows a filter housing with removable cover in longitudinal section, in which there is a multi-acting filter insert shown in partial section, Fig. 2 shows a cross section through a filter insert, Fig. 3 shows an outer filter jacket m1 with support t1, from which the jacket is slightly removed, Fig. 4 an inner filter jacket m2 with beam t2 and impermeable partition w, here too the jacket is somewhat deducted.
The filter element, shown in the drawing, is used as usual Filter housing shown with main sludge collecting space s1 consists of two independent Cylindrical individual filters that are plugged together or screwed together (Felt or the like), the outer jacket m1 on the first to be passed by the fuel Multi-perforated support t1 with an impermeable cover flange and the fine filter effective inner jacket m2 on the multi-perforated carrier t2 with impermeable Floor flange together with impermeable partition wall 3. The result of different large diameters The chamber k created by the jackets has the additional sludge collecting space in its lower part s2. A bracket attached to the cover flange identifies the upper layer and reaches it the installation and removal of the filter insert. The collar fabric to be cleaned flows through the inlet opening into the filter housing and passes through the individual filters one after the other m1 and m2.
The dirt particles in the fuel that make up the filter jacket Cannot penetrate m1, sink to the main sludge collecting space s1 of the filter housing. The fine dirt particles that have got into the chamber k are removed from the subsequent filter jacket m2, which is not on the bottom flange of the insert, but on the upper edge of the impermeable partition w stands, restrained and can be in the additional Set or move the sludge collecting space s2 up to the level of the impermeable partition wall. deposit. The water in the bagged sludge can - in motionless Condition of the fuel - through the filter matel m1 to the main sludge collecting chamber s2 of the filter housing soak, from which it is then in a simple way through a drain plug can be removed. If further single-line filters of this type are followed, the effect will be continued to increase.
