Ein nicht homogenes Magnetfeld ist dadurch hergestellt, dafs gemäfs Fig. 1 ein kräftiger Hufeisenmagnet mit zwei Polschuhen armirt wird, die einen nach einer Seite hin allmälig zunehmenden Luftzwischenraum zwischen sich lassen und von oben gesehen (Fig. 2) kreisförmige Gestalt haben. In dem so hergestellten, sich nach einer Seite hin erweiternden Interferricum können sich zwei niedrige Drahtspulen S1 S2, die mit einer Achse α fest verbunden sind, leicht drehen. Die Kraftlinien, welche diese Spulen beim Stromdurchgang liefern, laufen parallel denen des inhomogenen festen Magnetfeldes. Die Schaltung ist nach dem im Haupt-Patent angegebenen Schema getroffen und so vorgenommen, dafs sich beide Spulen von der Stelle gröfster Felddichte fortzubewegen trachten. Unterliegt also das bewegliche System keinen weiteren Richtkräften wie den von der Wechselwirkung des festen mit den beweglichen Feldern herrührenden, so ist auch die Gleichgewichtsbedingung die nämliche, wie im Haupt-Patent ausgeführt, und also die Einstellung des Systems nur durch die in beide Stromzweige eingeschalteten Widerstände bedingt.An inhomogeneous magnetic field is produced by armoring a powerful horseshoe magnet with two pole pieces according to FIG.
