Boat kick fin The invention relates to a device
to propel boats by means of push-off fins, which can also be attached to existing boats
can be grown.
so klappen
Geschwindigkeit erreicht. There are already known drive devices for boats in which
the power transmission via endless chains and toothed gears to the rudder device
took place. Also lever devices, in which different levers and articulated
Connections working together have been used to operate rudder fins.
But the more mechanical parts are set in motion, the more force there is
lost by friction. In addition, when a11 is actuated, these drive devices are produced
Water currents that have no or even adverse effects on the movement of the boat
Have influence. The invention provides a device for propelling boats
Creation fins that do not have these disadvantages. It consists in
that a fin carrier with kick fins on one outside of the boat keel in the longitudinal direction
attached guide rail movable and by means of pull ropes between each drive spring
and a return spring is arranged such that the drive spring by external
Forces is tensioned and released before each work stroke and when relaxing as
Working stroke pulls the fin carrier backwards while tensioning the return spring,
which pulls the fin carrier forward during the subsequent idle stroke. The repulsion fins
are attached to the fin carrier by means of hinges and stand during the working stroke
across the direction of travel. But once the fins have performed their working stroke,
work like that
they in the direction of travel and are in the direction of the keel line
pulled forward, where they are again in the starting position. Through the
The boat operator becomes a powerful driving force by means of a lever or a crank
tense. As soon as it is tense and thus able to work and the fin bearer himself
is in its forward position, it is triggered and thus relaxes,
that it withdraws the pusher fins from their anterior to their posterior position.
With a single such working stroke, which acts over the entire length of the boat,
the boat is already reaching a considerable speed. Even before the boat was essential
has lost speed, the mainspring is tensioned again, and the
The working movement of the push-off fin takes place again. Unnecessary waves and water movements
are not caused by the flippers. The force that goes into the mainspring
has been sent in suddenly relaxes, giving the boat a high
Speed reached.

On the outside of the boat, the guide rail is on the keel in the longitudinal direction
I attached which can be as long as the boat. The fin carrier: 2 slides
back and forth on the guide rail I. The fins 3 are by hinges 4 on
Fins carrier attached. Due to the return spring 5, the fin carrier 2
with the fins 3 arranged on it in the foremost position (work start position)
preferred. If now the flippers are to be brought into action, will
the drive spring 8 is tensioned by actuating the ratchet lever 7. As soon as this
has the required tension, the spring mechanism disengages and pulls through the reel
9 back the raft carrier at high speed via the pull rope or pull strap I0,
whereby the fins are perpendicular to the direction of travel and the boat a high push-off speed
give. As soon as the fin carrier with the fins has performed its working stroke
the spring mechanism disengages and the two fins are released by the return spring
5 by the pull rope 6 back to the foremost position, the work start position,
withdrawn in the direction of travel, while moving forward, d. H. to the
Idle stroke to clap the hinges. By actuating the ratchet lever again
7, the drive spring 8 is tensioned again, and as soon as it has the required tensioning force
the spring mechanism disengages and pulls back the fin carrier with the fins
etc. Instead of a two-part fin, a one-part fin can also be used
come. In the case of a one-piece fin, the hinge is arranged horizontally, see above
that when you return to the start of work position, the surface of the fin in the direction of travel
lies. During the push-off movement (working stroke), the fin folds down and stands
across the direction of travel.
