Eine derartige Badewanne ist aus der DE-PS 37 02 716 bekannt. Eine solche Raumersparnis wird tatsächlich erzielt, wobei weitere Maßnahmen getroffen sind, um die Wanne im Fußteilbereich möglichst schmal auszubilden. Diese Maßnahmen bestehen z.B. darin, daß die in der Draufsicht auf die Badewanne gesehene Mittellängsachse des eigentlichen Wannenteils derart schräg zur Badezimmerwand gelegt wird, daß die wandseitige Begrenzung der Badewanne über ihre gesamte Länge in unmittelbarer Nähe der Badezimmerwand gerückt werden kann. D.h. der eigentliche Wannenteil verläuft schräg zur Badezimmerwand. Eine Armauflage für den Benutzer, welche auch das Aufstehen aus der gefüllten Badewanne erleichtert, wird nur auf der wandabgewandten Seite der Badewanne vorgesehen. Es hat sich nun gezeigt, daß dies nicht ganz ungefährlich ist. Durch die symmetrische, wandparallele Ausbildung und Anordnung des Wannenteils wird in dem sich verjüngenden Fußbereich zwischen dem eigentlichen Wannenteil und der Badezimmerwand ein verbreiterter Bereich des Wannenflanschs erhalten, der zur Aufnahme einer Standarmatur dienen kann und unterhalb dessen Raum für die Installation der Zu- und Abflußleitung sowie des Überlaufs gegeben ist. Da das Aufstehen aus der Badewanne bereits durch die Armauflagen 20 erleichtert wird, ist deshalb denkbar, daß der badezimmerwandseitige Haltegriff 22 auch weggelassen wird. Die Tatsache, daß durch den sich fußbereichseitig verjüngenden Wannenteil 14 dort wandseitig unterhalb des Wannenflanschs 16 ein Freiraum entsteht, wird dazu genutzt, dort das Sokkelelement 18 auszusparen und einen Installationsraum 24 zu schaffen, in welchen die Warm- und Kaltwasserleitungen geführt sind, so daß von dort auch eine auf dem Wannenflansch 16 bzw. einer einen Ausschnitt 2 6 im Wannenflansch 16 abnehmbar verschließenden Abdeckplatte 28 die nicht gezeigte Standarmatur für die Badewanne installierbar ist.
