Die Erfindung betrifft einen in einen Umschlag umwandelbaren Briefbogen mit zum Verschließen des fertiggestellten und versandbereiten Umschlages und zum Öffnen des verschlossenen Umschlages dienenden Mitteln. Die vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich also auf einen vorbereiteten Briefbogen od.dgl., der auch als Umschlag dienen kann und der demzufolge Mittel zum Falten des Bogens, Mittel zum Verschließen des Bogens und Mittel für das anschließende Wiederöffnen besitzt, wobei in der Hauptsache vermieden werden soll, daß man die Briefe, wenn man sie verschicken will, in einen besonderen Umschlag einstecken muß. Gemäß den bisherigen Gepflogenheiten in der Korrespondenz faltet der Absender, nachdem er auf einem Blatt seine Nachricht aufgeschrieben oder nachdem er die von ihm zu verschickenden Dokumente vorbereitet hat, das Blatt oder das Dokument und führt es in einen Umschlag ein, woraufhin er alles dem Adressaten oder Empfänger zusendet. Mit der Ingebrauchnahme der vorliegenden Erfindung ist es demzufolge möglich, die oben genannten Nachteile und noch andere zu vermeiden, indem ein wirksames Instrument demjenigen zur Verfügung gestellt wird, der auf der einen Seite verhindern will, daß ein Schriftstück in einen Umschlag eingesteckt werden muß, um auf diese Weise Zeit und Material zu sparen, und auf der anderen Seite wünscht, daß die Briefmarken und die Postsiegel direkt auf der Rückseite des Sendschreibens angebracht werden, ohne daß dieses im Augenblick des Öffnens beschädigt werden kann.
