"Windelhose zur Verwendung bei Harn- und/oder Stuhlinkontinenz""Diaper pants for use in cases of urinary and/or fecal incontinence"

The invention relates to a pair of diaper pants intended for use in cases of urinary and/or fecal incontinence and consisting of a fabric cut that can be connected to the patient's hip area on both sides to form a body-fitting trouser pocket.

Previously known diaper pants of this type are used as single-use products in hospitals and nursing homes as well as in the private care sector, which causes enormous disposal problems. In addition, the cost burden for hospitals and health insurance companies due to such single-use products is extremely high. This also applies to incontinence care in the private care sector. It is well known that an incontinent patient uses an average of five diaper pants per day, so that over 1800 conventional diaper pants are required annually. At a unit price of DM 1.50, the annual cost is therefore around DM 2,700, without taking into account the disposal costs that arise.

DiesThe invention is based on the task of reducing the considerable disposal problems that have existed up to now and of significantly reducing the high cost burden. This

DM 1.156,--, in welchem Betrag ebenfalls Entsorgung bzw. This is achieved with the diaper pants of the type mentioned at the beginning, as proposed here, in that the trouser pocket has a replaceable insert designed to absorb urine or stool, which in turn absorbs both urinary and stool incontinence, which the diaper pants themselves are spared. This enables problem-free, cost-effective direct disposal. If, for example, one estimates DM 70 for such diaper pants and DM 0.25 for the insert, and if one takes into account that only about 10 diaper pants are required each year, while only the insert needs to be changed five times a day, so that 1,825 are required per year for these inserts alone, the annual cost for the diaper pants is DM 700 and the annual cost for the inserts is around DM 456, making a total annual cost of around DM 1,156, which also does not include disposal or cleaning. The cost savings through the use of the diaper pants suggested here are therefore well over 50 %.

The insert is preferably made of a biodegradable viscose fleece, which also reduces disposal costs. Wear-resistant Velcro fasteners are preferably used to connect the fabric cut to the trouser pocket, which allows for continuous adjustment. It is also advantageous if the two leg ends of the trouser pocket are designed as elastic cuffs, which further improves the fit of the diaper pants.

Bei allem besteht darüber hinausIt is also advantageous if the fabric cut of the diaper pants is covered with a plastic film on the outside and sewn at the edges. A PVC material that is washable up to 95° C is used for the plastic film. In addition, there is

Preferably the fabric cut from a multi-layered cotton fabric that can be washed about 200 times and is resistant to external influences such as pulling, tearing, etc., which further improves the durability of the diaper pants.
