Description

Bite from game In order to protect forest crops, sparing areas, field edges and the like from damage caused by game, a water-dilutable emulsion of extraction products from higher-boiling petroleum fractions is sprayed onto the endangered parts of the plant according to the invention. The extraction products mentioned are more weather-resistant than the previously used tars and are much better tolerated by the plants. They are practically not subject to oxidative drying. If known, non-phytosanitary antioxidants such. B. naphthols, alkylphenol compounds, arylamines and the like are added, the coating obtained by the agent remains tacky longer. Even a sparse coating of this type, divided into dense droplets, prevents the game from eating. The antifouling effect of the agent can be reinforced by appropriate weather conditions, e.g. B. by predatory animal excrement or the contained therein, partly lipoid-soluble, disgusting weathering substances, by carcass or bone oil, by sulfur, selenium and tellurium compounds, by organic halogen compounds and the like. Example i 48 kg extraction product from high-boiling petroleum fractions M ' 4 = 0.95 to 0.96, viscosity at 25 ° C. to 12,000 cP), 7 kg of crude tall oil, 0.1 kg of alpha-naphth01, 3.3 kg of ammonia 25 OM, 0.5 kg of Wolfaharn, 414 kg of water, 0.7 kg of an emulsifying agent.

Said petroleum extraction product is also obtained by similar, e.g. B. to replace more viscous products as well as by adding paraffin, ceresin, low molecular weight Polyisobutylene or the like containing or lubricating plasticizers. the Crude tall oil ammonia soap must be replaced by any other emulsifying agent that an emulsion which is stable during storage and which can be easily diluted with water, after which Spraying, on the other hand, immediately results in a rainproof film. It is recommended a Addition of well-known auxiliaries, which enable even with harder water to dilute.

The emulsion is sprayed on to the endangered parts of the plant in a 5 to: 0.05 iger aqueous dilution.
