Sie weisen eine Reihe von Nachteilen auf. Durch zu enge Öffnungen, lassen sich schlecht reinigen, verschimmeln bei Naßfütterung und für eine Behandlung durch ätherische Öle sind sie wegen Undichtigkeit nicht geeignet.
