Der Datenträger ist in der Vertiefung derart festlegbar, daß sie allseitig Distanz zu den Rändern sowie zum Boden und zum aufklappbaren Deckel des Kastens hat. Auf diese Weise ist der Datenträger allseitig gegen mechanische Einwirkungen von außen geschützt und nach Aufklappen des Dekkels für den Benutzer leicht zugänglich. 2. Packaging according to claim 1, characterized in that the protective cover (1, 2, 3) is

3. Packaging according to claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the front wall (1) and the rear wall (2) of the protective cover (1, 2, 3) consist of double-layered glued cardboard.

4. Packaging according to claims 2 and 3, characterized in that the inner cardboard of the rear wall (2) of the protective cover (1, 2, 3) has a recess (10) which extends at least over the area into which the extension (8) of the closure flap (5) engages.

5. Packaging according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the protective cover (1, 2, 3) is provided on the inside of the front wall (1) with an insert pocket (11) for information inserts.

Packaging according to claim 1, characterized in that the clear width of the receiving opening (15) in the plane of the top of the cuboid (14) corresponds to the external dimensions of the data carrier and the edges (16) of the receiving opening (15) are bent into the interior of the cuboid (14) in such a way that the clear width decreases with increasing distance from the plane of the top of the cuboid (14).
