Abstract

The box is made from one sheet of cardboard or a similar material which can be recycled. The sheet is folded and edges are glued to form a flat box which matches the thickness and length of the pencils etc. which are to be packed. The upper end of the box incorporates a flap (8) which is tucked into the box. A flap (9), which is punched out of one side of the sheet, is folded over the top of the closed box and is glued in position to secure the contents. One side of the box can be extended to form a lug from which the box can be suspended from a storage rack.

Description

There are numerous packages that are generally made of metal, plastic or cardboard if necessary. These packages are generally expensive, difficult to recycle and therefore not very environmentally friendly. Furthermore exist packaging is neither easily detachable hanging systems with which they open Sales racks could be hung, nor security systems that poten potential buyer could indicate whether they have already been opened.

The packaging for pencils, chalk or other writing instruments illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 3 is produced from a blank of a single, biodegradable and easily recyclable material such as cardboard. This cardboard blank illustrated in FIG. 3 can easily be obtained in a single punching process by cutting and pre-punching along the line 1 .

This blank is then folded to form the box illustrated in FIG. 1 with the lower flaps 2 and 3 on top of one another, the side flap 4 on the inside of the wall 5 and the flaps 6 and 7 on the inside of the upper flap 8 be glued and the latter is larger, so that part of it can be folded away at right angles and inserted at the upper edge of wall 5 .

The pencils are inserted either when the packaging is folded or before the lid 8 is closed . In the latter case, the lid is then closed and the tab 9 is folded back onto the lid and glued to it.

The packaging is thus closed and can only be opened in that the tab 9 is torn off along the line 1 to allow the lid 8 to be opened. This tab 9 thus serves as a security device; as long as it is not separated from the wall 5 , one can be certain that the packaging has not been touched and has not been opened.

After opening, the tab 9 can be torn off completely and the lid 8 serve to open and close the packaging as often as desired by the user.

The second embodiment of the packaging for pencils has, in addition to the packaging described above, an additional hanging element. Claims (2)

Packaging for writing instruments, in particular pencils, characterized in that it is made from a blank that is cut, folded and glued from a single material, this material consisting of cardboard or another, easily recyclable material; in that it has the shape of a parallelepiped which corresponds in its thickness and length to the packaged pencils and in that it has at its upper end a hinged lid with a tab which is inserted into the packaging in the closed position; and in that, in the original closed position, this cover is closed by a flap which is firmly connected to it and which is attached along a pre-punched line to one of the side walls of the packaging in such a way that part of this flap must be torn off when the packaging is opened for the first time Times should be opened. 2.
