Die Erfindung betrifft einen Tisch, insbesondere für eine Eckbank, auf dessen Zarge die verschiebbare Tisch-Hauptplatte in ihrer Grundstellung im Randbereich abgestützt und daraus verstellbar geführt ist. Mithin wird das der Erfindung zugrundeliegende Problem aufgeworfen, einen Tisch mit flexibel und in einfacher Handhabung erweiterbarer Tisch-Nutzoberfläche zu schaffen, wobei die Erweiterbarkeit mit einer einfachen und billig herstellbaren Konstruktion realisierbar ist. Zur Lösung wird bei einem Tisch mit den eingangs genannten Merkmalen erfindungsgemäß vorgeschlagen, die Führung für die Tisch-Hauptplatte derart auszuführen, daß mit Verschieben der Hauptplatte die Zarge in einem ausreichenden Abschnitt freilegbar ist, der das Auflegen und/oder Ansetzen einer oder mehrerer loser Ansetzplatten auf der Zarge zur Erweiterung der Hauptplatte ermöglicht. Diese ist also auf der Zarge hin- und herverschiebbar oder verdrehbar angeordnet, so daß auf die Oberkanten der von der Hauptplatte nicht mehr abgedeckten Zargenteile die Ansetzplatten angelegt und an die Schmalseite der Hauptplatte in Anschlag gebracht werden können. Mit dem Zurückverstellen der Hauptplatte lassen sich auch über Ecken oder Bögen verlaufende Zargenabschnitte freilegen, so daß sich der Tisch nach mehreren Richtungen erweitern läßt. Insbesondere läßt sich aus dem eingangs erläuterten Tisch mit Rundbogen bei Zurückverschieben der Hauptplatte und anschließendem Auflegen mehrerer Ansetzplatten in Gehrung zueinander eine Tisch-Nutzfläche mit rechteckiger Form mit einfachen Handgriffen herbeiführen.The problem underlying the invention is therefore to create a table with a flexible and easy-to-use extendable table surface, whereby the extendibility can be achieved with a simple and inexpensive construction.
