umgekehrtem Sinn wieder abzubauen.
Man
Circuit arrangement for relay chains in telecommunications systems, in particular
Telephone systems In telecommunications systems, especially telephone systems rises
often the requirement to build up switching operations in a certain sequence and in
to dismantle in the opposite direction. For example, this task can occur at
Impulse storage devices and pulse repeaters, in which current impulses from one and the same
Establishment to be picked up and released again in call distributors for even

incoming and outgoing railway wagons or axles and similar counting devices.
Stepping mechanisms, preferably rotary selectors, are used to solve the stated problem
used, which in building the switching operations in one direction and in their
Dismantling can be adjusted in the opposite direction. With the high switching frequency
of the systems in question, the mechanical selectors are subject to heavy wear
subject. In addition, one is spatially bound with the mechanical solution. Man
has therefore already used relay chains in place of the mechanical selector, their

Relay windings are switched off again in the reverse order.
The invention consists in the use of such relay chains for

in Benutzung genommenen Verbindungsorgane Vs, z.
Kontakt wr i ist abhängig vom Magnetanker
As an embodiment of the invention, a relay chain is shown in the drawing, which can be used with advantage in a device for evenly loading workplaces. In this device, depending on the number of connecting members Vs, z. B. pairs of cords, a place a Wheatstone bridge Br detuned and a polarized relay T lying in a bridge diagonal is excited by the then onset of equalizing current, which switches the relay chain on until the bridge equilibrium is restored. According to the assumption of ten resistance levels W i to W io in one and X i to X io in the other of the two bridge branches, the relay chain consists of ten relays R i to R io. Each of these relays is provided with an excitation winding I and a holding winding II. The control of the relay chain includes a so-called selector relay WR as a pulse generator, which works together with an auxiliary relay A as an interrupter. The selector relay WR, a rotary selector of the simplest form, consists of an electromagnet which, by means of a push pawl and a ratchet wheel, moves a single switching arm over a number of connection contacts. At the same time as the ratchet wheel, cam disks are driven which actuate a number of cam contacts, in the example the cam contacts wR 2-wR 4 and wR 3-uR 5. These two cam contacts are switched alternately to the right or left with each step of the selector relay. Contact wr i is dependent on the armature of the selector magnet and therefore closes every time the selector relay is activated. To remove the switched-on relays of the relay chain, there is also a relay U which reverses the potential. In addition, a relay M, not shown, is required, which is switched on depending on the commissioning of the device.
i, -. Das Wählerrelais macht einen Schritt. Dadurch werden die Kontakte wr2,
wr 5 geöffnet und wr4, wr 3 geschlossen. Beim Ansprechen des Wählermagneten
wurde das Relais A in folgendem Stromkreis erregt: -f-, na 2, wr
i, A,-.
Relais R i geschlossen: -f-, u2, a2, m3, wr4, 1r2, RiI, u3, Wi4,
i, R i II, -.
Kontakte a i, m4 kurzgeschlossen.
i geöffnet wird.
a i den Kurzschluß des Magneten WR wieder öffnet.
folgender Stromkreis für das Relais R2 geschlossen: -I-, at 2, a:2, m3, wr
2, 3r1, 4 r 3, R 2 I, u 3, Wi 4,
-. Relais R2 spricht an und bindet
sich: -I-, m5, 5 r 2, R 2 1I, -.
A wieder aus.
bleibt stehen. The mode of operation of the arrangement in detail is as follows: Assuming that the polarized relay T is excited in a certain sense by the detuning of the Wheatstone bridge, the contact t, which is usually in the neutral center position, may have turned to the left, with contact ti closed will. As a result, the selector relay WR is switched on: -f-, ti, WR, Wi i, -. The selector relay takes a step. This opens the contacts wr2, wr 5 and closes wr4, wr 3 . When the selector magnet responded, relay A was energized in the following circuit: -f-, na 2, wr i, A, -. After relay A has responded, the following circuit for relay R i is closed: -f-, u2, a2, m3, wr4, 1r2, RiI, u3, Wi4, -. Relay R1 responds and connects in the following circle: -f-, m5, 2 r i, R i II, -. After relay A responded, selector magnet WR was short-circuited via contacts ai, m4. The magnet falls off, which also opens contact wr i. This causes the relay A to drop out, which opens the short circuit of the magnet WR again at the contact ai. Since the bridge may not yet have been adjusted and contact ti is still closed, the selector relay will now respond again. The contacts wr 4, wr 3 are opened and wr 2, wr 5 are closed. The actuation of the changeover contact wr 3, wr 5 initially has no meaning; their purpose of creating a defined starting position of the selector relay when the device is shut down is explained at the end of the description. The auxiliary relay A is switched on again by the magnetic contact wri when the selector magnet responds. This now closes the following circuit for relay R2: -I-, at 2, a: 2, m3, wr 2, 3r1, 4 r 3, R 2 I, u 3, Wi 4, -. Relay R2 responds and connects: -I-, m5, 5 r 2, R 2 1I, -. When relay A responded, magnet WR was short-circuited again, it drops out and in turn switches auxiliary relay A off again. After relay A has dropped out, since contact ti may still be closed, the selector magnet is switched on again, which also brings relay A back on. The following circuit for relay R 3 is now closed: -I-, u2, a2, 'n3, wr4, 6r2, 7r4, R31, u3, Wi4, -. Relay R 3 binds itself via its winding II. In this way, as long as relay T is still energized, the even-numbered and odd-numbered working relays R are switched on alternately. In the fourth step of the selector relay relay R 4 is switched on, in the fifth step relay R 5 and so on. These relays gradually short-circuit the resistance levels X i to X 5 of one branch of the Wheatstone bridge until the bridge equilibrium is restored. Assume that this is the case after five steps of the selector relay. Then the polarized relay T in the bridge diagonal is de-energized, contact ti is opened. The selector relay stops. At this stage of the establishment, cam contact wr4 is closed.
Arbeitsrelais R i bis R 5
t2, U, WR, Wi i, -.
r 7,
iir5, 9r3, Sri, wr2, m3, a2, u4, Wi3, -.
Erregerwicklung I des Relais R 5 bekommt in diesem Stromkreis so viel Gegenstrom,
If the bridge is detuned in the opposite sense in accordance with a release of occupied connection organs of the workplace, the switched-on working relays R i to R 5 of the chain must be dismantled in the opposite sense. This is done in that first the polarized relay T in the bridge diagonal is excited in the opposite direction and its contact t2 closes. This closes the following circuit for the selector magnet WR and the relay U: +, t2, U, WR, Wi i, -. Relay U and selector magnet respond. Relay U opens its contacts u 2, u 3 and closes its contacts u 4, u 5, whereby the battery potentials are reversed with respect to the excitation windings of the worker relays R i to R io of the relay chain. When the selector magnet WR responded, contact wr 4 was opened and wr2 was closed; At the same time, auxiliary relay A was switched on via contact wr i. The following circuit is now closed for relay R 6: +, Wi 2, u 5, R 6 I, 12 r 7, iir5, 9r3, Sri, wr2, m3, a2, u4, Wi3, -. Relay R6 cannot respond in this circuit via the two resistors Wi 2, Wi 3. As a result of the excitation of relay A, the voter magnet WR was short-circuited and caused to drop out. This resulted in relay A dropping out, opening the short circuit of the selector magnet again. The voter magnet now speaks again, since contact t2 may still be closed. The selector relay takes another step, thereby opening contact wr2 and closing wr4. The following circuit is now closed for winding I of relay R5: +, Wie, u5, R5I, ior6, 8r4, 6r2, wr4, m3, a2, u4, Wi3, -. The excitation winding I of the relay R 5 receives so much countercurrent in this circuit that the holding current in winding II of the relay R 5 is not sufficient to hold the relay. Relay R 5 comes to waste. The selector relay WR takes another step, and now the winding I of the relay R4 is switched on in the reverse current circuit. Relay R4 comes to waste; in the same way, as long as contact t2 is closed, relays R3, R2, R i drop out one after the other.
+, m i, wr 3, A, -. Relais A schaltet nochmals den Wählermagneten
ein in folgendem Stromkreis: +, m6, a i, WR, Wi i,-.
Kontakte wr5, wr2 geschlossen. Gleichzeitig wird das Relais A ausgeschaltet. The selector relay has no zero position, but only a defined position in which the cam contacts wr2, wr5 are closed. If contact t2 interrupts the circuit of the selector magnet in a position of the selector relay in which cam contact wr3 is closed, the following circuit is formed for relay A when the device at which relay M drops out is shut down: +, m i, wr 3, A, -. Relay A switches the selector magnet on again in the following circuit: +, m6, a i, WR, Wi i, -. The selector relay takes another step; contacts wr3, wr4 are opened and contacts wr5, wr2 are closed. Relay A is switched off at the same time.
