Combustion chamber for large numbers of excess air, especially for gas turbines
The invention relates to a combustion chamber for gaseous, liquid or solid fine-grained
Fuels and for high excess air numbers, at which the total throughput
the combustion air takes place in the axial direction, especially for gas turbine systems.
One of the main tasks of the combustion chamber is to mix the air with the hot air
To make combustion gases as intense as possible, so that the temperature of the

this dust firing is not suitable. In addition, they can only do so with a small amount

The air enters in direction A. and is caused to swirl by guide vanes. On the outer circumference, part of the air is branched off through the annular space b with a purely axial flow direction, that is to say without a swirl, for cooling purposes. This annular channel b is guided in such a way that it acts as a cooling wall on part s of the combustion chamber wall. goes along to fear the risk of overheating. is. The cooling air is then fed back into the main flow at c at a corresponding angle. Caused by the impact of the cooling air jet on the axial flow or by an interfering edge L, starting from: its mouth or behind the interfering edge l, a vortex area arises, in which the fuel gas is fed through small tubes d across the channel b . The gas flows through the nozzle <? via the annular channel f to the pipes d. In the drawing, the combustion chamber is shown with a gas burner of the simplest design (hole burner). If a suitable burner is used, oil or coal dust can also be used. By appropriately choosing the size of the individual flames and by choosing the impulse and direction of the exiting cooling air jet and the cooling wall length s, it can always be achieved that the flame only burns in the vicinity of cooled wall surfaces. As a result of the convection flow, the flame will not be in contact with the wall either.

the field of constant temperature must be preserved. To this end

the structure of the combustion chamber according to FIG. 2 differs from that of the combustion chamber according to FIG
only in that a cross-section enlargement is carried out at the flame front,
with which combustion can be achieved without an adiabatic pressure drop.
