Description
Method of preventing corrosion of one another by spot welding Sheet metal parts to be connected, in particular for the production of sheet steel parts composite engine cowlings of aircraft The preferably made of Sheet steel engine cowlings are usually made by spot welding interconnected sheet steel parts assembled. To this in particular To protect the surfaces to be connected against corrosion, they were previously painted, then connected to one another by spot welding and afterwards the whole panel was painted over again with paint.
A more effective and better protection against corrosion results from the Invention in that in particular the surfaces to be dotted with one another with a sprayed-on metal coating, in particular made of aluminum or aluminum alloy, provides, with the subsequent painting of the composite cladding can be made completely dispensable if you have all of them right from the start Coated parts to be connected to one another by spot welding with a sprayed layer. In addition, the spray coating does not produce any cracks in the welding area, such as for example a paint or varnish coating. The coating is expediently applied by means of a spray gun after the so-called Schliha process directly onto the appropriately cleaned sheet steel upset. Instead of aluminum or an aluminum alloy, a other metal or the alloy of another metal can be used.
