Mechanische Hebezangen sind in der Regel mit 2 Greifarmen ausgestattet. Es gibt aber auch Hebezangen mit 4 Greifarmen. Dabei besteht der Kraft- und Lastarm aus einem Teil. Bei 3 Greifarmen würden sich die Kraftarme gegenseitig behindern. Es ist also nicht möglich, eine 3-armige Zange nach dem herkömmlichen Schema zu bauen. Man kann das Problem dadurch lösen, daß Kraft- und Lastarm aus 2 verschiedenen Teilen bestehen, wobei der Kraftarm vom Zangenmittelpunkt nach außen führt. Dadurch wird eine gegenseitige Behinderung vermieden. Mit insgesamt 4 Gelenkpunkten kann der Kraftarm um 180 Grad umgelenkt werden.Mechanical lifting tongs are usually equipped with 2 gripping arms. Der Erfindung stand das Problem, unförmige Teile zu heben, zugrunde. Anlaß zu der Erfindung war das Problem, das beim Heben von größeren Steinen (Findlinge) auftritt. Es ist äußerst schwierig, einen Findling mit anderen Mitteln zu heben. Eine 3-armige Zange ist hier die beste Lösung. Sicherlich gibt es noch viele andere Anwendungsgebiete, z. B. Baumwurzeln, sonstige Ballenware oder einfach Gegenstände, die Ähnlichkeit mit einer deformierten Kugel haben.The invention was based on the problem of lifting misshapen parts.
