Folding template for letterheads

The invention relates to a folding template for letterheads with the paper format DIN A4.

To insert the DIN A4 letterheads into corresponding envelopes (envelopes with the DIN long format), the letterheads must be folded in a zigzag shape in order to obtain the width dimension of the envelope.

Markings are provided on letterheads to help with folding, but these are often difficult to see and require searching, making the folding process more difficult.

There are also letterheads without such markings, which make folding even more difficult.

Furthermore, it is not always possible to fold the letterheads perfectly by hand, so that the zigzag shape is crooked and the sheet areas are of different sizes.

The object of the invention is to create a folding template that is simple in design, can be produced cost-effectively and is easy to handle, with which DIN A4 letterheads can be folded quickly and precisely in a simple manner.

This object is achieved according to the invention by the characterizing features of claim 1, whereby the design features listed in the subclaims also represent advantageous further developments of the solution to the problem.

The folding template according to the invention is simple in design, can be produced cost-effectively and is extremely easy to handle for folding DIN A4 letterheads to the appropriate format of the envelope that holds them.

The letterhead is simply inserted into the pocket of the folding box, thus ensuring a secure and precise position and can then be folded over the folding edge of the format sheet and then folded back according to the width of the format sheet.

In particular, the letterheads no longer require any markings and the letterheads are folded exactly with the address field on the corresponding window of the envelope.

Another advantage is that this folding template is made of cardboard or a dimensionally stable plastic film, which can be provided with advertising prints, operating instructions, or the like, and given to users as a promotional gift.

The folding template for letterhead (1) with the paper format DIN A 4 is formed from a one-piece folding sheet made up of a lower support sheet (2) and a format sheet (3) folded onto it, which together with the support sheet (2) forms a pocket (4) for the letterhead (1) to be folded, of the format size for envelopes (envelopes) DIN long, which in its folded connection to the support sheet (2) forms an inner contact edge (5) and with its free edge a folding edge (6) for the letterhead (1) to be folded.

The folding sheet consists of a DIN A4 sheet and the format sheet (3) is folded across the DIN A4 length direction at one end of the folding sheet and folded onto the support sheet (2).

The format sheet (3) therefore has a size (width and length) that corresponds to a DIN long envelope with dimensions of 220 x 110 mm.

It is preferred to make the folding sheet from cardboard, paperboard or a dimensionally stable plastic film.

To fold a DIN A 4 letter sheet (1), use

Advertising prints, labels and operating instructions for the folding template can be provided on the format sheet (3) and the overlay sheet (2).

The folding template can also be made from a sheet that is larger or smaller than a DIN A4 sheet as the source sheet; it is important that the format sheet (3) is always the size of the envelope.

Folding template according to claim 1, characterized in that the folding sheet consists of a DIN A 4 sheet and the format sheet (3) is folded over transversely to the DIN A 4 longitudinal direction at a folding sheet length end region. 3. Folding template according to claim 1 and 2, characterized in that the folding sheet consists of cardboard, paperboard or a dimensionally stable plastic film.
