Front panel for an entertainment device, especially for restaurants

The present innovation relates to a front panel for an entertainment device, in particular for restaurants according to the generic term of claim 1. Such entertainment devices with correspondingly designed front panels have become known in particular in their design as gaming machines. Here, after a coin has been inserted, a correspondingly pre-programmed game sequence is displayed on the front panel.

The aim of this innovation is to further develop an entertainment device of the type mentioned above in such a way that the entertainment value of the device goes beyond that of a gaming machine.

To solve the problem posed, the innovation is characterized by the technical teaching of claim 1.

The essential feature of the present innovation is that, according to the innovation, no entertainment device is proposed in the form of a gaming machine, but rather the special design of a front panel for displaying the blood alcohol level of the operator in conjunction with a display of the operator's reaction time.

This significantly improves the play value and entertainment value of the new entertainment device, because starting from a coin insertion, there is no more or less controllable game sequence, but rather the operator's individual parameters are recorded and displayed on the new front panel.

In a first preferred embodiment of the present innovation, it is provided that the blood alcohol level is displayed on a digital display on the front panel and that the measured reaction time is also displayed on a second digital display on the front panel.

It is preferred if the two digital displays are arranged directly below each other or next to each other in order to ensure a combined display of both values.

In a further development of the present innovation, however, it is also provided that not only are the two values displayed in a digital display, but that the values are displayed in display fields arranged at a distance from one another, with each display field being labeled with a measured value and the display fields being optionally illuminated.

Such a display panel for displaying the blood alcohol level of the operator could, for example, show a value of 0.1 per mille as the lowest display and then in a chain-like arrangement further values of 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5 etc. up to a final value of 1.1.

It is also possible in an analogous manner to display the reaction time in tenths of a second from a low value of, for example, 0.1 seconds, increasing to 0.2, 0.3, 0.4 and so on up to a

- 5 maximum value of 1.0.

Likewise, the new system provides for a specific weighting of the display fields. This weighting can be achieved, for example, by assigning different journeys to different, consecutive display fields.

For example, the "good" values for the blood alcohol content of e.g. 0.1, 0.2 or 0.3 can be illuminated with green colors, as can the "good" values for the reaction test of e.g. 0.1 to 0.3 seconds.

Analogously, the "bad" blood alcohol content values of, for example, 0.8 to 1.1 per mille can be illuminated with red colors, as can the "bad" reaction time values of, for example, 0.8 to 8.0 seconds. Both displays could then use their colors to let the user know that they are no longer suitable to drive a motor vehicle, for example.

The subject matter of the present innovation arises not only from the subject matter of the individual claims, but also from the combination of the individual claims with one another. All information and features disclosed in the documents - including the summary, in particular the spatial design shown in the drawings - are claimed as essential to the invention insofar as they are new individually or in combination compared to the prior art.

The innovation is explained in more detail below using a drawing that merely shows one way of carrying out the invention. The drawing and its description reveal further features and advantages of the innovation that are essential to the invention.

The illustration after the innovation shows the top view of a front panel in a preferred embodiment.

The front panel 1 according to the illustration is essentially rectangular in shape and has a plate 2 in its upper area on which, for example, a label stating the brand name of the device is arranged. A coin input 12 is also arranged in the upper area.

Below the plate 2 there is another plate 3 on which the instructions for operating the device can be arranged.

The user removes such a drinking straw at approximately position 15 in the lower area of the front panel via a drinking straw dispensing device (not shown in detail here).

The user then blows his breath through the drinking straw into the input opening 4.

The internal measuring device analyses the breath and the blood alcohol level is determined and displayed in digital form on the display panel.

In addition, this blood alcohol value displayed in display field 5 is also arranged in the area of the individually illuminated display fields 11 arranged in a chain. For example, if a blood alcohol value of 0.1 per mille is calculated, only the lowest of the display fields 11 arranged in a chain is illuminated. This display field is in a value range 13 that is considered "good".

However, if a high blood alcohol level is measured, then one of the

The reaction time is recorded and displayed in an analogous manner.

The reaction time is recorded by three push buttons 7, 8, 9 arranged one above the other at a short distance from the other on the front panel in the lower area, whereby the push buttons 7-9 can each be illuminated by a light. As soon as the user sees a certain push button 7-9 illuminated, he must press this push button 7-9 again in the shortest possible time. The reaction time measured in this way is displayed in digital form in the display field 6.

A display is also made in the area of the display fields 10, whereby a "good" reaction time is again assigned a value range 13, while a "bad" reaction time is assigned a value range 14 and one of the indicator lamps of the display field 10 is lit accordingly.
