Durch das Patent Nr. 87081 ist ein Verfahren zum Verriegeln von Knopflöchern mittelst Maschine geschützt, bei welchem die letzten Nähstiche durch senkrecht oder nahezu senkrecht zu ihnen laufende Riegelstiche übernäht werden. Dieses Verfahren soll durch das in Vorliegendem beschriebene Verfahren vervollkommnet werden, indem der fertiggestellte Riegel feiner sowohl in seiner Gestalt, als auch in seinem Aussehen aus der Maschine hervorgeht. In der Praxis hat sich nämlich ergeben, dafs das durch Patent Nr. 87081 geschützte Verfahren einen Riegel herstellt, welcher zwar dem Befestigen durch den Handriegel nicht nachsteht, welcher aber ungleichmäfsig in seiner Bildung ist, indem das Uebernähen der Knöpflochnähstiche an den Ecken des Knopfloches Unebenheiten hervorruft.
