The innovation concerns a riflescope of the round-lens, monocular type with a reticle holder mounted in an intermediate image plane and a transparent reticle with a line figure (reticle) attached to the holder.

Telescopic sights, which are designed to help in detecting a target and to align the device fitted with the telescopic sight with this target, have a line pattern in the beam path of their optical system, which is also referred to as a reticle and which is generally mounted on a reticle.

A reticle is known from DE-Gbm 87 02 309 which has a vertical, interrupted scale. A laterally oriented line figure points into this interrupted space, which consists of two parallel lines of different thicknesses which then converge to a point. The aim of the innovation is to create a reticle that leaves the field of view of a professional user of a rifle scope as undisturbed as possible and still provides all the information required for alignment.

This object is achieved according to the characterizing feature of claim 1 in that a point-shaped line figure protrudes into a circular line on the line plate, the point of which lies in the center of the circle and which consists of two line-shaped line figures arranged at an angle α to one another.

This innovative design of the reticle ensures that the user of the rifle scope can clearly target the target without the important areas horizontally and vertically to the target being obscured in the field of view. The circular line figure allows a clear estimation of the target size or the target distance.
