The invention relates to a piece of seating and/or reclining furniture as a rocking chair with a , a , a lying or lying surface, with at least one pair of legs arranged so as to be rotatable relative to the seat, with a backrest which is rotatably attached to the seat surface and a guide device which consists of sliding rails attached to the legs and sliding pins which are guided therein and are attached to the seat surface, as well as with a locking device in the guide device for fixing the unfolded position.

Such seating and/or reclining furniture is available on the market as folding furniture, each of which has a sliding pin attached to the seat that can be moved in a sliding slot on just one leg and is held in the opened position of the furniture by means of a movable locking bar. With these folding chairs, an operating bar arranged transversely to the locking bar must first be pressed in before the chair can be folded up, so that the locking bar is swung out of the sliding slot and the sliding pin can slide along the sliding slot. It is clear that with this seating and/or reclining furniture it is very difficult to fold the piece of furniture up after use. Furthermore, the known construction consists of three parts and is complex.

The aim is to create a piece of seating and/or reclining furniture with a simply constructed locking device that is reliably effective in the unfolded position.

The solution to the problem in question provides that the locking device consists of a hook fixed to each sliding pin and an opening arranged at the end of each sliding rail with a web for the hook.

When unfolding seating and/or reclining furniture designed in this way

. the sliding pin with the hook attached to it slides in the ' sliding rail. In the unfolded position, the hook grips behind a bar that is arranged in the opening of each sliding rail. To fold the seat and/or

The slide rails are advantageously L-shaped and have a U-shaped profile. Slide rails designed in this way offer good guidance for the slide pin and can, for example, also be installed concealed in the legs of the seating and/or reclining furniture.

In a preferred embodiment, the hook has a pin at one end that is inserted into a blind hole in the sliding pin. The hook is thus easy to attach to the sliding pin and can also be quickly replaced if it is damaged. Furthermore, this design is considerably more space-saving than the known locking device.

The hook has a locking surface and a sliding surface at its free end. The sliding surface is designed in such a way that when the seating and/or reclining furniture is unfolded, it allows the hook to easily slide past the bar at the end of the sliding rail. In the unfolded position, the locking surface rests against the bar and prevents the seating and/or reclining furniture from folding up accidentally.

It is also advantageous if the locking surface and the sliding surface have a common edge and if the profile of the sliding surface is curved towards the free end of the hook. This design makes it easier for the hook to slide past the bar. Furthermore, when folding up the seating and/or reclining furniture, the hook can slide gently past the bar after the hook has been released.

If the sliding surface is triangular, with two sides of the triangle being at right angles to each other and the side opposite the right angle forming a quarter-circle arc, the sliding properties of the hook and the sliding pin in the sliding rail are improved. This is particularly important in the curve between the long and short legs of the L-shaped sliding rail.

A further improvement in the sliding properties of the hook and the sliding pin in the slide rail and an easier release of the locking position is achieved by the hook being angled in a Z-shape in its middle area and having a semi-circular recess. The Z-shaped angle makes it possible to very easily remove the hook from the web.

arranged, which converge towards each other in a conical manner towards the top and are connected with a joint 6. Above the joint 6 there is an armrest 7, which is rotatably attached to the backrest 4 with its rear end. The armrest 7 is attached to the legs 5 with an adjustment device (not shown), so that the angle between the backrest A and the seat 2 can be changed by moving the armrest 7 in the longitudinal direction.

A slide rail 8 is arranged on the inside of the rear legs 5 of the seating furniture 1, in which a sliding pin 9 is guided. The sliding pin 9 is attached to the rear end of the seat 2. Furthermore, a hook 10 is arranged on the sliding pin 9.

The slide rail 8 is L-shaped and has a U-shaped profile that is open inwards. At the end of a smaller leg 11 of the L-shaped slide rail 8 there is an opening 12 that is formed from the U-shaped profile of the slide rail 8 and a web 13 that connects the two legs.

A longer leg 14 of the L-shaped slide rail « is closed at its end by a stop bar 15. Furthermore, the longer leg 14 of the L-shaped slide rail 8 has a ( ) bend 16 in the upper third of the slide rail. In Fig. 2, the hook 10 is shown in the locked position. In this position, the seating furniture 1 is in the unfolded position shown in Fig. 1. If the hook 10 is in the second position shown in dashed lines at the upper end of the longer leg 14 of the L-shaped slide rail 8, the seating furniture 1 is folded up.

Fig. 3 shows the locking position of the hook 10 in the smaller leg 11 of the L-shaped slide rail 8. The hook 10 has a pin 17 at one end which is inserted into a blind hole 18 which is arranged centrally in the slide pin 9. At its free end 19, the hook 10 has a locking surface 21 and a sliding surface 22. The hook 10 engages through the opening 12 at the end of the smaller leg 11 of the L-shaped slide rail 8 and is hooked to the web 13 via the locking surface 21. In this position, the sliding pin 9 rests with its outside on the web 13 so that unintentional adjustment of the seat 2 is not possible.

If the free end 19 of the hook 10 is pushed away from the seat 2 according to an arrow 23 shown in Fig. 4, the locking surface 21 can slide past the web 13 and the seat can be moved backwards according to an arrow 24. The sliding pin 9 then slides along the smaller leg 11 of the L-shaped sliding rail 8 and is deflected at its end into the longer leg 14 of the sliding rail 8, so that the end of the seat 2 is guided along the sliding rail 8 and the seating furniture 1 folds up.

The sliding surface 22 of the hook 10 is triangular, with one side of the triangle representing an edge 25 of the locking surface 21 and the second side 26 of the triangle being arranged at a right angle to it. A quarter-circle arc 27 forms the third side of the triangle. A recess 28 is arranged in the middle area of the pin ^10. This recess 28 serves to enable the hook to slide more easily from the longer leg 14 into the shorter leg 11 of the slide rail 8.

The hook 10 has a surface 29 at its fixed end 20, in the center of which the pin 17 is arranged. The surface 25 is limited to the free end of the hook 10 by a partially circular sliding surface 30. The distance between the outer surface of the pin 17 and the sliding surface 30 corresponds to the outer diameter of the sliding pin 9.

Hook 10 is angled in a Z shape in its middle area 31. This angle creates an undercut on the side of the hook 10 facing the leg 5, which makes it easier to unlock the hook 10 before folding up the seating furniture ].
