Description

Process for increasing the wettability of capacitor foils In order to increase the absorbency of the spacers in electrical capacitors, are wetting agents, e.g. B. sulfurized alcohols, added. These wetting agents lead since they are hygroscopic and contain harmful sulfate ions, they become contaminants of the electrolyte and thus increase the tendency to corrosion. The present invention is concerned On the other hand, the task of improving the wetting ability of the capacitor foils, in particular the roughened foils., for the electrolyte to increase, so on the Metals act in such a way that their contact with the electrolyte is more intense. This object is achieved in that the capacitor winding with Acrylonitrile od. The like. Poured over and after a subsequent heat treatment with is soaked in the operating electrolyte.

The inventive method can, for. B. be carried out in such a way that the completed capacitor winding is initially cold with acrylonitrile be doused as a wetting agent. After the excess wetting agent has been poured off the winding is subjected to a heat treatment at 8o to 9o ° C for about 2 hours. Apparently a layer of polymeric acrylic compounds is formed on the foils, which is the approach of the electrolyte supplied during the subsequent impregnation promote, namely the possibility of wetting is so facilitated that the contact of the electrolyte also with roughened Slides intensified considerably will. When this procedure was used, capacity increases of around z o ° / o were achieved established.
