Zu diesem Zweck wird also der Kurzschlußkäfig zunächst, z. B. durch Gießen oder durch Zusammenfügen aus entsprechenden Kupferstäben und -ringen, für sich angefertigt. Der fertiggestellte Kurzschlußkäfig wird dann in die zur Herstellung des Läuferkörpers dienende Form eingelegt, in die das Pulver, beispielsweise ein Gemisch aus Eisen und Isolierstoff, eingefüllt und durch Rütteln, Pressen od. dgl. verdichtet wird. Dadurch wird .der Vorteil erzielt, daß die zur Herstellung des Läuferkörpers erforderliche Form besonders einfach gestaltet werden kann, da Kerneinsätze für die Nuten in Fortfall kommen.
