Man erreicht
Eisen gebundene Stickstoff wesentlich verringern. Als geeignete Stoffe haben sich
Aluminium,
Silicium,.
Process for the production of a wind-cooled steel with Siemens-Martin steel properties
There are proposals and methods for the production of wind-cooled steel known,
which has the properties of Siemens-Martin steel. These procedures work
point out that the nitrogen content of the steel is significantly reduced by taking suitable measures
lower than normal wind-blown steel. One achieves
this once by using certain converter and bath dimensions, then through
Cooling with ore towards the end of decarburization. Not every form of converter can be used
use equally well, but you are bound to particularly favorable forms, and
the melts kept cold by the use of coolants often show difficulties
in terms of castability. The application of the method according to the invention
now, in normal converters and at temperatures so high that
that allows steel to be cast normally, to produce steel with Siemens-Martin steel properties.
The method is based on the new knowledge obtained through numerous experiments,
that there are substances that can be found in the melt with the nitrogen in the iron
Form compounds which are partly coagulable and which are different from iron
specific weight can be eliminated, partly in dispersed form and less harmful to the steel
Remaining shape in the melt. By adding these substances, the
Significantly reduce iron-bound nitrogen. Appropriate substances have proven to be
Aluminum,
Silicon ,. Titanium and zirconium proved. The procedure now consists in the melt
add one or more of the substances mentioned in the converter during blowing,
these substances both from their elements and from their compounds or alloys
can exist. In the case of Bessemerschmelzen, the addition can take place during the decarburization
take place, in the case of Thomassschmelzen preferably at the beginning or during the dephosphorization.
In Berührung
The ones found in iron have proven to be particularly effective
Nitrogen-setting substances in highly dispersed form, preferably as a gas or vapor
or mist, to be added to the melt. The connections are particularly suitable for this purpose
which have a low boiling point or already at normal temperature and
Pressure ratios are liquid, such as the chlorides Al C13, Si C14, Ti C14. The Titanchloh'id
is, for example, liquid under normal conditions. With the help of one with the
Wind line of the converter connected atomizing nozzle you can now this liquid
Mix in the finest droplets in the wind and thus feed into the melt. In touch
With the melt, the chloride breaks down into titanium and chlorine; part of the titanium connects
itself with the nitrogen of the wind and thus sets the partial pressure of the nitrogen
and thus the rate of nitrogenization decreases, part of which binds the iron nitrogen
per se. The released chlorine goes out of the melt with the wind, there
Ferric chloride is not stable at the high temperatures that are present. as well
instead of atomizing it, the chloride can be vaporized by heating and the
Mixing steam with the wind.
Dafür benutzt man zweckmäßig
When the wind mixes with one of the compounds mentioned occurs
in addition to the effects described, a reaction with the oxygen of the wind
a, which affects the efficiency with respect to nitrogen. To that too
avoid, the vapors are not mixed with the wind outside the melt,
but rather fed into the melt through special blow nozzles. For this one uses appropriately
Nozzles on the edge of the air nozzle ring to allow contact with those in the bathroom
to prevent rising wind bubbles. Furthermore, it is convenient for the passage
to keep the air nozzles provided for the vapors smaller than the normal air nozzles,
the ratio of the bubble surface area, which is important for the reaction, through smaller bubbles
to make bladder volume large. The diameter has proven to be useful
of these nozzles to or below two thirds of the diameter of the tuyeres.
To get the vapors of e.g. Ti C14 through the special nozzles of the melt
these nozzles have to be fed through a separate wind box from the normal wind box
are separated, to which a special pipe leads through which the vapors
be blown. This steam line is, for example, at Thomassschmelzen up to
operated with wind at the end of decarburization and then switched to steam.
The separation of the special nozzles can be avoided if
the melt is first blown normally and then with a post-blowing
the vaporous compounds of the substances mentioned above from those bound to iron
Nitrogen is released.
