The invention relates to a hinge receiving element for block and lining frames made of wood, the adjustment block of which, enabling three-dimensional adjustment, consists of a cover angle, a carrier plate and a clamping plate, whereby the carrier plate is connected to one leg of the cover angle via spindles provided at its ends through the screw heads of the spindles engaging in through-openings of the same, and the clamping plate is arranged between one leg of the cover angle and the carrier plate and is screwed to it, while the other leg of the cover angle is equipped with a slot for inserting the hinge tab or a spacer plate between the carrier plate and the clamping plate.

A three-dimensionally adjustable hinge support element for steel frames is known, which is welded from behind the steel frame. The steel frame has a slot at the front. The hinge tab is inserted through this slot from the front and clamped between the carrier plate and the clamping plate of the hinge support element. To create the clamping effect, the screws of the clamping plate, which engage in threaded holes in the carrier plate, are tightened through openings in one leg of the cover bracket, so that the hinge tab or the spacer plate intended for assembly is clamped between the clamping plate and the carrier plate. This screw connection enables adjustment in height and depth. It is also possible to use the spindles to adjust the carrier plate, including the clamped hinge tab, in a lateral direction.

A structural solution of this kind, as is known for steel frames, cannot be implemented for wooden frames because there is not enough space between the wooden frame and the masonry. The hinge support element for a wooden frame must be inserted from the front into a pre-milled recess and screwed in. However, firmly screwing the support element onto wooden frames causes problems.

A hinge receiving element for wooden frames is known in which the actual housing is provided with a very wide cover plate that runs alongside the hinge, with the help of which the entire element is screwed to the wooden frame from the outside. These screws are visible, including the cover plate, since otherwise there would be no surface for screwing to the frame, because the two screw heads of the adjusting spindles and the clamping screws for the hinge tab cover the entire surface of the hinge receiving element that is accessible from the outside, so that no fastening screw connection to the frame is possible. The visible metal surface of the aforementioned cover plate of the known hinge receiving element, however, significantly detracts from the appearance of the combination of door and frame.

Based on this prior art, the invention is based on the object of providing a hinge receiving element of the generic type, which is not visible after the hinge has been installed when the door is closed, while avoiding the aforementioned disadvantages.

According to the invention, this is achieved in that the band receiving element has a receiving bracket for the adjustment block, which is fixed by means of several screws directly (block frame) or indirectly (lining frame) in a correspondingly designed recess.

The bracket can be attached to the wooden frame and the associated ends of one leg of the cover angle of the adjustment block and the bracket are connected to one another directly or indirectly using metal screws. This design makes it possible to first insert the bracket into the recess in the frame intended for the installation of the bar support element, invisibly from the outside, and to firmly connect it to the wooden frame structure using several wood screws. The adjustment head is then firmly connected to the bracket using just two metal screws. The entire hinge support element is therefore not visible when the door is closed after installation.

The legs of the support bracket, which is advantageously U-shaped, are provided with bends at their free ends. The bends are thicker than the web and the legs of the support bracket, so that threaded holes can be provided in them. When attaching the hinge support element in the recess of a block frame, threaded holes are provided in the thickened bends of the legs of the support bracket, whereby the bends also serve as fastening plates for the ends of one leg of the cover bracket, in which openings for the metal screws are provided.

It is advantageous to provide through-openings in the web of the support bracket for the ends of the spindles passing through the carrier plate of the adjustment block, in which they are guided.

According to a further proposal of the invention, the ends of one leg of the adjustment block rest on the angles of the legs of the support bracket assigned to them, so that overall a compact design of the band element is obtained.

When the band receiving element is designed for mounting on a casing frame, the adjustment block is indirectly attached using a screw-on plate, which has a protruding lug on the side facing the adjustment block. Adjustment block 1. The adjustment block 1 consists of the cover angle 2, a carrier plate 3 and a clamping plate. The carrier plate 3 is connected to one leg 6 of the cover angle 2 via spindles 5 provided at its ends through the screw heads 8 of the spindles 5 engaging in the through-openings 7 of the same. The clamping plate 4 is arranged between one leg 6 of the cover angle 2 and the carrier plate 3 and is screwed to it. The screws (not shown further) are inserted through the through-openings.

The three-dimensional adjustability of the adjustment block 1 as well as the design of the band 13 and its tab 12 are of a conventional type.

The band receiving element also has a receiving bracket 14 for the adjustment block 1. The receiving bracket 14 is essentially U-shaped, with its legs 15 being provided with bends 16 at their free ends. The bends 16 are larger in thickness than the web 17 and the legs 15 of the receiving bracket 14.

In the web 17 of the support bracket 14, several holes 18 are provided, which serve to fasten the support bracket 14 in the block frame using wood screws. Furthermore, in the web 17 of the support bracket 14, guide holes 19 are provided for the ends of the spindles 5 passing through the carrier plate 3 of the adjustment block 1.

The ends of one leg 6 of the cover angle 2 rest on the angled portions 16 of the legs 15 of the support bracket 14 assigned to them, whereby the connection of the ends of one leg 6 of the adjustment block 2 with the angled portions of the support bracket 14 is carried out by means of the metal screws 20.

In the version according to Figvr 1, the hinge receiving element is shown for insertion into the recess 21 of a block frame 22. The assembly of this version of the hinge receiving element takes place in such a way that the receiving bracket 14 is first inserted into the recess 21, whereby the angled portions 16 of the legs 15 rest on elevations 23 of the recess 21. The receiving bracket 14 is now fastened by screwing wood screws into the holes 18 of the web 17. The holes 18, like the other fastening holes, are designed in the conventional manner as countersunk holes, since corresponding screws with countersunk heads are also used. After fastening the mounting bracket 14, the adjustment block 1 is pushed into the mounting bracket 14, with the feet of one leg 6 of the cover bracket 2 resting on the bends 16 of the legs 15 of the mounting bracket. Now the metal screws 20 are screwed through the holes 24 into the threaded holes 25 of the bends 16.

By loosening the clamping plate 4, the spacer plate (not shown) used for mounting the band receiving element can be removed, whereupon the tab 12 of the band 13 is inserted into the slot 11 and clamped by tightening the clamping screws of the clamping plate 4 through the through-openings 9 of the leg 6.

Up to the version according to Fig. 2, all parts are provided with the same construction symbols.

Figure 2 shows an embodiment of the hinge receiving element for use with a casing frame 31. For the indirect fastening of the adjustment block 1, a screw-on plate 26 is used in this embodiment, which has a projecting projection 27 on its end region on its side facing the adjustment block 1. The projections 27 are equipped with threaded holes 28 and extend under the bends 16 of the legs 15 of the receiving wing 14. The screw-on plate 26 is provided with a number of holes 18 which serve to screw in wood screws with which the screw-on plate 26 is fastened to the wooden frame construction.

After fastening the screw plate 26, the adjustment block 1 is fastened to it using the screws 20, whereby these pass through the holes 24 in one leg 6 of the cover bracket, as well as the holes 25 in the bends 16 of the mounting bracket 14, whereby, in contrast to the design according to Figure 1, these are not provided with a thread.

To compensate for different chuck thicknesses, shims 29 are available.
