Description
In Form eines Blumentopfes In the shape of a flowerpot ausgebildetes trained PflanzengefäßPlant pot
The invention relates to a plant container in the form of a flowerpot with a base that has a structure with regular elevations and depressions, which elevations are arranged with their upper end surfaces essentially in the same, preferably horizontal, plane and which depressions serve to hold a water supply, whereby the elevations are arranged next to one another to form a barrier for potting soil in a plane of the end surface and drainage openings are provided there.
Such a plant container is known from European patent 291 635, whereby the top surfaces of closely spaced, inward-facing elevations in the base area are designed as a ground support surface and the joints between the elevations serve as a water reservoir. Drainage openings are provided here, which are essentially designed below the ground support surface, i.e. below the upper end surfaces of the elevations.
The object of the invention is, based on the previously described state of the art, to design a generic plant container in a way that is more suitable for planting.
This object is achieved by the invention specified in claim 1.
Die Unteransprüche sind vorteilhafte Weiterbildung des Erfindungsgegenstandes. The subclaims are advantageous developments of the subject matter of the invention.

As a result of this design, a plant container in the form of a flowerpot is created with a water reservoir in the base area below a soil support surface, which is optimally designed for planting. The procedure was such that an opening level of a drainage opening is arranged above the level of the end surfaces, with a distance from the end surfaces r of a millimeter range. This achieves a maximum filling level that extends into the area of the lowest layer of soil. The plant container can advantageously be made of plastic, with the elevations forming the separated water reservoir being made of the same material as the container. It is particularly advantageous that the drainage openings open above the end surface by about half the size of their clear opening. In a further embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the drainage openings are formed by cylindrical tubes which pass through a lower bottom surface of the plant container. This ensures optimum drainage of excess water and this is preferably collected in a chamber arranged under the lower bottom surface of the plant container. In a further embodiment, the elevations of the plant container are designed in the form of ribs. These offer an improved distribution of the water in the water reservoir formed by the elevations. It is advantageously provided that a distance between the elevations corresponds to approximately half their size. The distance is thus dimensioned such that no potting soil settles in the depressions. There is only an insignificant growth of the fine roots into the depressions, so that a continuous

There is no need to reduce the size of the water reservoir. In addition, and as an alternative to this, the distance between the elevations can be about a quarter of their size. To further optimize the leveling in the water reservoir, the parallel ribs are connected to one another by a circular surface made up of interruptions in the ribs to compensate for the water level. This means that it cannot happen, for example, that a plant whose roots only extend into a certain area of the pot base uses up the water supply, while there are still water supplies in one or more other areas of the pot base. Another design provides for the elevations to be designed like tunnels. This is advantageous in terms of shape and also with regard to the amount of material required in relation to the size of the joints and the surface area of the soil formed by the surfaces. Another advantageous feature is that the base is further stabilized by a U-shaped elevation that extends below the end surfaces of the elevations and is closed at the top. The base of the vessel can thus withstand high pressures without damage, especially when potting. With regard to this design, it is finally particularly advantageous that the base is further stabilized by two cross-shaped U-shaped elevations that extend below the end surfaces of the elevations and are closed at the top.
Es zeigt:Further advantages and details of the invention are explained in more detail below using a graphically illustrated embodiment. It shows:

The plant pot 1 shown in Fig. 1 has a slightly conical pot wall 2. The pot wall 2 widens upwards to merge into a stabilizing folded edge 3. The edge face faces downwards. The pot wall 2 also has horizontal corrugations or axially spaced ring depressions 4.
The essentially horizontally aligned pot base 5 has a ring plate 6 in the base area that is assigned to the plant pot 1. This serves to collect excess watering liquid. Watering can also take place from there.
An dem Boden 5 sind topfinnenseitig in regelmäßigen Abständen ca. 1 mm breite, parallel zueinander verlaufende Rippen 7 materialeinheitlich angeordnet, wobei der Abstand zueinander etwa ein Viertel der Höhe der RippenRibs 7, approximately 1 mm wide and running parallel to one another, are arranged at regular intervals on the inside of the pot on the base 5, with the distance between them being approximately one quarter of the height of the ribs.

7 entspricht. These ribs 7 are provided with circular openings 8, each of which extends from the upper end surface 9 of the rib 7 to the bottom 5 of the plant pot 1. As a result, the depressions 10 formed by the ribs 7 are connected to one another, which serves to evenly distribute the irrigation water and balances the water level.
The base 5 also has two U-shaped elevations 11 arranged in a cross shape and closed at a flat point, whose surfaces 12 extend approximately halfway up the ribs 7, parallel to or at right angles to them. The width of the elevations 11 corresponds approximately to the distance between four ribs 7. These elevations 11 serve, on the one hand, in conjunction with the ring plate 6 to absorb excess casting liquid. On the other hand, they ensure a high level of stability of the base 5, with the surfaces 12 of the elevations 11 being so small that when the water level drops below the surfaces 12, approximately 70% of the original water surface is still available in the quarter-circle sections 23 formed by the cross-shaped arrangement of the elevations 11.
As can be seen in Fig. 2, the plant pot 1 has five circular drainage openings 13, with one opening 13 being arranged centrally and two parallel openings 13 being arranged at a distance from one another in a decentralized manner. These drainage openings 13 are formed by cylindrical tubes 14 which pass through the lower base surface 5 of the plant pot 1. These cylindrical tubes 14 are dimensioned such that the opening plane E of the drainage openings 13 is arranged above the plane A of the end surfaces 9 of the ribs 7, with the distance to the end surfaces 9 being approximately 3 mm {cf.

Fig. 4). A rise in the water level above the opening level E is now prevented by the fact that the excess irrigation water can flow through the drainage openings 13 into the free space of the ring plate 6. The opening level E is therefore the maximum irrigation water filling level.
Diese formen zum Freiraum des Ringtellers 6 hin offene Hohlräume 16 aus, wobei zwischen denIn the embodiment according to Fig. 5, the structuring of the base 5 is realized by parallel studs 15. These form open cavities 16 towards the free space of the ring plate 6, whereby between the

dienen. The head surfaces 18 of the studs 15 form the ground support surface of the plant container 1. In order to form the raised drainage openings 13, individual cylindrical pipe sections 19 are arranged on the studs 15. The opening level E is again approximately 3 mm higher than the level of the head surfaces 18. In this embodiment, the drainage openings 13 are spanned by a roof formation 20, which is connected to the front surface 22 of the cylindrical pipe section 19 by means of three webs 21. Viewed from above, the drainage opening 13 is now completely or essentially covered, while

The features of the invention disclosed in the above description, the drawing and the claims can be important for the realization of the invention both individually and in any combination.
