THEODOR MEINHOLD in KLINGENTHAL (Sachsen). Verfahren zur Herstellung von Saiten aus Rindsdarmhaut.
Patentirt im Deutschen Reiche vom 25. Januar 1879 ab.
Der Rindsdarm wird je nach der verlangten Stärke der Saite gespalten. Von den gespaltenen Theilen wird die feine Haut heruntergezogen, und diese Haut ist das Material, woraus die Saiten hergestellt werden.
Das Verfahren ist im übrigen dasselbe, wie bei der Fabrikation der Saiten aus Schafsdärmen.
Diese Darmhautsaiten sollen vor den Saiten aus Schafsdärmen den Vorzug gröfserer Haltbarkeit und geringerer Dehnbarkeit haben.
