Es sind schon verschiedene Verbindungsarten bekannt, die aber meist an. dem eineu oder anderen der folgenden Mängel leiden. Die Verbindungsstelle ist nicht mechanisch genügend fest, der elektrische Kontakt ist nicht dauerhaft, weil das Aluminium-im Laufe der Zeit nachgibt oder sich mit einer isolierenden Oxydschicht überziehen kann. Das Aluminiumleiterende erhält infolge Wärmeeinwirkung, infolge von Schweißung Gußstruktur mit all ihren bekannten Mängeln. Die Verbindung ist nicht genügend korrosionsbeständig oder fällt zu teuer aus bzw. erfordert zu viel Sparmetall.
