Description

The invention relates to a connector for the individual cells of in particular drive batteries according to the Preamble of claim 1.

Cell connectors of this type are used on drive batteries, e.g. for electric vehicles, for connecting in so-called called troughs assembled single cells needed. In a known cell connector (DE-OS 35 18 216) is a wide copper lamella at its ends Formation of contact areas for connection with the Lead pins of a battery cell. This will does not affect the conductivity of the connector, on the other hand, the risk of corrosion at the connection contacts largely eliminated. The copper lamella is between the contact surfaces with an electrical iso lierhülle from a shrink sleeve or a shrink provided hose. Is the pin of a single cell still surrounded by an insulating cap with a cover, then this pole head is completely protected. These known copper lamella consists of a rigid flat profile piece that has no movements between the Cells can adapt and therefore to the pole screw acts in an unfavorable manner. A flexible cell connector is already known per se (DE-AS 24 41 221). This consists of a copper cable, the ends of which are inseparably connected to the poles via pipe sections. Apart from the fact that this connector cable for Beseiti risk of corrosion on its bare contact ends cannot be leaded in a usable way, it is also for screwable and therefore removable pole connections not suitable.

The invention is therefore based on the object Cell connectors of the type mentioned at the beginning improve that he also flexible and thereby to the movements occurring on the cells adaptable is.

This task is performed with a cell connector according to the Preamble of claim 1 according to the invention by the characterizing features of this patent solved.

Advantageous further developments of the invention are in Claimed claims.

By using a braided copper tape a flexible connector is used for the copper lamella created that is sufficiently compliant in every direction is to the batteries transported in particular occurring cell movements and tremors to be able to absorb and compensate. Training of the contact surfaces directly at the ends of the tape optimal current flow, such as the edging of the band end with contact shoes made of lead or leaded Copper a detachable, screwable and corrosion protected pole connection enables. Particularly advantageous a man poured onto the ends of the band proves to be imprisoned Contact shoe that with its graduated connection collar an electrolyte-tight approach to tape insulation forms, even with strong twisting of the copper ban the securely and tightly in contact with the contact shoe remains.

Es zeigen: The invention is based on an embodiment example, which also schematized in the drawing is described, described in more detail. Show it:

Fig. 3 dieses Verbinderende in Betriebsstellung. Fig. 3 this connector end in the operating position.

The connector shown consists of a flat copper ribbon 1 braided from fine copper wires of a width and thickness for a current flow that is as loss-free as possible. The copper flat strip is cut at its ends 2 in a suitable shape and provided with an appropriately circular opening 3 . It is expedient to have the same width and thickness over its entire length. In order to create resistant, highly conductive and corrosion-proof contact surfaces 4 for a screw connection ver screwable, the flat band is encapsulated at its ends with a contact shoe 5 made of lead or leaded copper. This contact shoe can also be achieved by pressing molded parts together (not shown). The contact shoe also has openings 6 aligned with the band opening 3 , so that continuous contact eyes are formed at the connector ends thus formed. In order to isolate the flat strip 1 over its full length, an insulating sleeve 8 connecting the two contact shoes 5 is provided. A vulcanized rubber cover has proven to be particularly advantageous. For a tight and permanent connection of the insulation to the contact shoe, the latter is provided with a stepped connecting collar 9 , which is covered by the insulating sleeve. Except for the active contact surfaces, this connector is therefore insulated.

In Fig. 3, the connector is connected to a pole pin 12 of a single cell, which is represented by a partially drawn cell wall 13 . On the pole bolt 12 , the band-shaped copper lamella 1 is releasably screwed with its lead contact surfaces 4 by a brass screw 14 . As the execution example shows, the copper ribbon 1 enveloping insulating sleeve 8 extends close to the pole bolt 12 and penetrates an insulating cap 15 surrounding the pole bolt, which is still covered by a cover 16 from . In the middle of this end cover from a through hole for a measuring instrument can be provided.
