Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren zur Herstellung durchscheinender Kerzen und bezweckt, Kerzen derart auszubilden, daß das. Wenn die Kerze angezündet wird, treffen die Lichtstrahlen der Flamme dien oberen Teil der Kerze einschließlich der Schicht q. aus verflüssigtem Paraffin und werden durch die Kerze und besonders durch die Schicht 3 hindurch derart nach unten reflektiert, daß die ganze Oberfläche ein schönes selbstleuchtendes Aussehen erhält. . Als Beispiel für -die Ausführung des Verfahrens wind folgenfdes angeführt: Eine 5100 g Blockkerze wind mit etwa ioo g geschlagenem Paraffinwiachis belegt, das wie folgt behandelt worden ist; ioo g Paraffinwachs werden .bis zum Flüssigweoden erwärmt und dann wieder abgekühlt, bis sich auf ider Oberfläche eine Haut bildet. Darauf wird das Paraffinwachs etwa i Minute lang mit einem gewöhnlichen. Schneeschläger (mit Radantrieb) geschlagen und die dann erstarrte, aber noch immer weiche Masse auf die Kerze aufgetragen.
