Shower partition kit

Shower partitions are made of glass or plastic glass and are framed in metal or plastic profiles and surrounds. Profiles take up a significant proportion of the total area and block a lot of light.

Conventional shower partitions are mainly placed on the edge of shower trays or bathtubs and usually have guide rails and wall connection profiles in different shapes. Corner connections always consist of two individual parts that have to be connected to each other. This creates additional joints that are questionable from a hygiene point of view because skin and soap residue are difficult or impossible to remove from joints and form an ideal breeding ground for bacteria and fungi.

According to the innovation, the partition elements should be made entirely of glass, acrylic glass or other materials, without a frame, side wall and front panel (1.4) to the door line (1.3) - regardless of whether it is a sliding door or a hinged door - consist of one piece and are not connected to one another by means of aids, but bent in one piece.

Figure 1.1 shows the C-edge rounding of a hinged or sliding door towards the wall. In hinged doors, a sealing lip is also used at this point (e.g. in Plexiglas) and is part of this application.

Figure 1.2 shows the attached glass ceiling as a fastening for wall doweling. The gap between the side part and the wall is sealed with sealants.

Figure 1.3 shows a bend - here as a 90° angle - of the side and front part, which ends with a scarf at a vertical height towards the door closure ( scarf = bevel or over-bevel).

The doors open - depending on the design - inwards or outwards. A hinged door that opens inwards is shown under 1.4. The shaft is used as an integrated handle bar in a vertical design as well as to compensate for width differences.

To ensure easy and safer measurement, a template suitable for the respective type is offered.

By turning them upside down, the shower partition elements can also be used in mirror image.
