The calendar, generally designated 1, consists of two parts, namely a blank 2 made of cardboard and a carrier 3 with a large number of recesses 4 for receiving presents or surprises (not shown). The recesses 4 are deep-drawn into a plate- or sheet-shaped flange part 5 of the carrier, so that between adjacent recesses 4 there are surface parts 6,7 and between the peripheral edge and the outer (25 recesses 4) there are edge surfaces 8 on the flange part 5. In the present embodiment, the recesses 4 are arranged regularly in longitudinal and transverse rows, with 24 recesses 4 being present, since this is an Advent calendar.

To produce calendars 1, the blanks 2 and the supports 3 are first produced as intermediate products, which can be produced, shipped and stored at different locations if necessary. The cardboard blank 2 can be produced inexpensively because it is one piece with the folding strips 12, 13 and the flaps 32 and can be produced in one operation, e.g. by punching. The blanks 2 require little space for storage or shipping because they can be laid flat on top of one another and can be folded flat if necessary.

Claims (8)

EXPECTATIONS 1. Gift calendar (1), in particular an Advent calendar, consisting of a front wall (11) with a plurality of tearable openings (31) and a support (3) on the back of the front wall, with hollow spaces (4) for holding gifts, characterized, that from at least two opposite edges of the front wall (11) there extends a folding strip (12) which is folded towards the back and engages behind the carrier (3). 2. Calendar according to claim 1, characterized in that the carrier (3) consists of a plate into which a plurality of cavities (4) or deep drawings are molded at a distance from the peripheral edge and at a distance from one another, and that the folding strips (12) engage behind the flange-shaped edges (5) or the molded-in sections of the carrier (3). 3.
