z.B. ©in fläohendeokendes Einbinden in den Welt-Containerrerkehr
unter Verwendung der natürliohen, keinen Aufwand
erfordernden Wasserwege nicht möhlioh,The invention relates to a mobile crane for heavy goods, primarily but not exclusively intended for inland waterway vessels and light seagoing vessels, characterized in that the crane, consisting of two coupled, pivoting booms, can be moved lengthways and picks up or releases the loads, e.g. containers, via the bow or stern, is collapsible and is operated primarily with the aid of push chains.
Container cranes for on-board and land-based installation are known in various designs. They are generally characterized by high weight, high center of gravity, complex technology and thus high speed. They can therefore only be used economically in places with a high demand for handling (e.g. terminals). Due to the lack of on-board handling facilities, inland shipping could only participate in container traffic after corresponding, expensive container terminals with land-based handling equipment had been built. Particularly in the second and third world countries, for example, it is not possible to integrate them into the world container traffic using natural, low-cost waterways.

well es ac geeigneten Container-Umsehlageinriehtimgen für ~ leichtere Schiffe bei geringem Investitionsaufwand fehlt.because there is a lack of suitable container handling facilities for ~ lighter ships with low investment costs.
The currently usual transshipment of cargo using on-board equipment is only possible with vessels of considerable displacement and width, which are too complex for a comprehensive feeder network with low traffic volumes or too large for the waterways.
The transport of dangerous goods in containers on inland waterways is considered to be relatively safe, but requires longer road transport routes from terminals located in or near large cities with high traffic volumes.
The purpose of this invention is to present a crane for handling heavy goods, e.g. containers, which can be installed on inland waterway vessels and light seagoing vessels, excludes the occurrence of stability problems during handling, requires simple technology and is therefore inexpensive to manufacture and can also be used effectively in stationary installations .
By using lifting chains, the boom of the crane can be easily swivelled from a horizontal position (transport position) by almost 180° (maximum reach) and moved on the rail track. By combining both drives, the loads can be moved in any direction. Containers can also be handled outside of port facilities, e.g. on ferry piers, in secured docks, etc.
unabhängig ron Hooh- und HiedrigWasser umgeschlagen werden· Weiter kann z.B. entlang des Rheins an vielen Stellen au* * ßerhalb von Ortsohaften Gefahrgut angelandet/aufgenommen s werden»can be transshipped independently of high and low water. In addition, dangerous goods can be landed/picked up at many locations along the Rhine, for example, outside of local areas.
her erläutert.
sind selstsperrend ausgestalteteThe invention is explained in more detail below with reference to drawings. These drawings show only exemplary embodiments and do not exclude other conceivable designs according to the invention.
Separate protection rights have been applied for for the push chain (5 # 8 , 20) used several times on the crane, including its drive and deflection housings (6, 9, 14, 21). These parts are therefore not described in detail here. The main characteristic of the lifting chain is that it is constructed like a roller chain, can transmit both lifting and tensile forces and is secured against buckling outside the housing. The housings are designed so that the chain can extend or retract at different angles under load. All drives are self-locking.
The protective rights for the push chain and the associated drive are registered with the German Patent Office under Hr 9 G 88 06 871 ·4 |

In Figure 1, the crane rail (1) is visible, which is laid on the side longitudinal corridor next to the crane hatch and extends to the outer end of the rectangular bow in order to achieve the greatest possible reach of the boom (11). The crane carriage (4) rolls on the crane rail, moved by the push chain (5), which is driven by the push chain drive (6). In order to ensure synchronous operation, the push chain drives of both crane carriages (4) are driven via a common shaft of a drive machine, e.g. via a self-locking worm gear. The boom (11) and the support (12) are each mounted on the support (4) so that they can rotate from the imager (10). While the boom (11) usually has a rectangular or round cross-section (see Fig. 6), the support (12) preferably has a diagr;&Ggr;-shaped cross-section, so that the support (12) can accommodate the boom (11) in the folded state.

Both booms (11) and supports (12) are connected to one another by fixed cross beams (15), whereas booms (11) and supports (12) are provided with a stiffener with an articulated joint (14) on each side. The stiffener (14) is self-locking when extended and ensures a predetermined angle of inclination during operation. With the help of the lifting chain (8), which is driven by the lifting chain drive (9) on the crane truck (4), is rotatably attached to the boom (11) and is guided via the steering housing (14) at the tip of the support (12), the boom (11) is pushed upwards from its rest position and thus erected. The stiffener (13) stretches and takes the support (12) with it as it swivels further. The support (12) prevents the otherwise necessary overdimensioning of the push chain (8) even when the boom (11) is extended further.

For handling at a fixed pier (see Fig. 2), the bottom is secured with a mooring anchor placed upstream and a bow line placed upstream. The bow can rest on the edge of the quay wall, especially if it is a boat with a low water displacement. The container is lifted from the trailer (32) waiting on the pier and swung on board. The lifting chain (8) is subjected to tension. When the boom (11) is swung into the position shown in Fig. 2, the chain (8) supports the boom (11) and is subjected to lifting. By alternately operating the push chains (8) and the chains (5) for the crane trucks (4), an approximately vertical load movement is generated; by simultaneously and coordinated operating of both drives, vertical load movement is possible.
To cover larger storage areas along the pier, the ship is moved parallel to the pier by pulling in/putting in the anchor line and mooring line. If the containers have to be set down on the pier, various vehicles with loading equipment and a simple construction axe are available for removal; for which separate protection rights have been applied for.
