DESCRIPTION:

The innovation concerns a plastic breeding plate with a large number of compartments for holding seeds and with four longitudinal edges for placing on a base or on another breeding plate.

Such breeding plates are known in many designs. The known breeding plates consist of foamed polystyrene. For environmental reasons, however, another material is preferred. This could be a thermoformable plastic. Such breeding plates, however, have low dimensional stability and must be nested in each other when made available to filling machines. These two facts cause difficulties during filling and further handling.

The innovation aims to improve this. According to the innovation, this is achieved in the first place by attaching a stacking strip made of plastic along two parallel edges under at least one row of compartments which has two edges that extend to the end of the edges of the breeding plate.

The short sides of the stacking strip can also be finished with edges.

In a preferred embodiment, the surface of the stacking strip is adapted to the undersurface of the breeding plate.

The innovation will be explained in more detail using a perspective drawing of an example implementation.

A breeding plate 1 of 600 x 400 mm has a large number of compartments 2, for example 252. Of the four edges, only two edges 3 and 4 are visible in the drawing. A stacking strip 5 is shown individually in the drawing; in practice, however, it is attached along the edge 4 inside the breeding plate 1, preferably glued or welded.

The surface 6 of the stacking strip 5 is provided with recesses 7 which receive the underside of the compartments 2. In addition, the surface 6 of the stacking strip 5 is also adapted to the underside of the breeding plate by arranging two longitudinal ribs 8 and 9. The longitudinal rib 8 extends in the attached state between the edge 4 and the first row of compartments 2 of the breeding plate 1, and the longitudinal rib 9 between the third and fourth row of compartments 2 of the breeding plate.

The stacking strip 6 also has four edges, but only edges 10 and 11 are visible in the drawing. Finally, each stacking strip 6 is provided with two elongated recesses 12, which must be viewed as recesses 7 arranged next to one another. In fact, the recesses 12 are therefore a different design variant. The edge 10 and the opposite edge are provided with a dent 13. Cleaning water can flow through these dents through the space between the breeding plate 1 and the stacking strips.

The breeding plate 1 and the two associated stacking strips 5 are preferably made of thermoformed plastic.

Plastic breeding plate with a number of compartments for holding grains and with four longitudinal edges for placing on a base or on another breeding plate, characterized in that a stacking strip made of plastic is attached along two parallel edges under at least one row of compartments, said stacking strip having two edges extending to the lower end of the edges of the breeding plate. 2. Breeding plate according to claim 1, characterized by the fact that the short sides of the stacking strip are also finished with edges. 3. Breeding plate according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the surface of the stacking strip is adapted to the lower surface of the growing plate.
