Container for a string instrument

The innovation relates to a container for a string instrument. This can be a box, a bag or a case that holds a violin, viola or violas. In the following description, only the term "violin case ^{" 11} is used to simplify it, without restricting the innovation to this.

The aim of the innovation was to be able to store a violin in a case securely but carefully, without having to secure it with aids that have to be removed when removing it, such as TO straps or bands. The innovation solves this problem with the means defined in the claims. It is illustrated in the drawing using an example that does not claim to be complete and is described below using this example. It shows:

is connected by hinges and can be inserted into a - not shown - cover made of plastic or a strong woven material that completes the case. On the front - also not shown - there is a handle and a closure.

The lower part 1 is divided by an intermediate arch 4 into the holder 5 for the violin body and the holder 6 for the violin neck and scroll. An accessory compartment 8 is also separated by an intermediate bridge 7. A slot-like recess 9 is worked into the intermediate bridge 7 parallel to its vertical surfaces, the width of which is dimensioned such that it clamps a tuning fork without pressure.

The intermediate arch 4 shown in Fig. 2 on a scale enlarged compared to Fig. 1 in the front view obtained by a section along the line II-II of Fig. 1 has the curvature 10 shown in Fig. 1 and the curvature 11 shown in Fig. 2. The curvature 10 is adapted to the rear neck-side end of the violin body to be stored, while the curvature 11 is adapted to the - not shown - curvature of the lid transverse to the longitudinal axis, which corresponds to the curvature 12 of the lower part 13 and is directed opposite to it.

The holder 5 for the violin body also has a curvature opposite the curvature 10 and facing it.
