In business life, it is common to send important offers, invoices, plans, tables, etc. to the business partner in an envelope - DIN C 4 format is usual - which consists of a sheet of thick paper folded once, Earton or similar - a so-called file cover and can be printed. Such offer folders have either a stapling device or foldable flaps on one, two or three sides of one - usually right - half of the folded sheet to hold the inserted documents together.

There are known offer folders in which the right or left part of the folded sheet has a foldable flap on its long side and on its lower transverse side, which can be inserted into one another so that documents inserted into the folder and placed behind these connected flaps cannot easily fall out, but can nevertheless be easily pulled out.

The two retractable flaps were connected by one of the flaps having an extension that was inserted into a corresponding cutout in the other flap. To prevent the flaps from being pulled apart again immediately, the port set was previously designed in the shape of a hook and the cutout was slightly offset so that the flaps could hook into each other, so to speak.

Figure 2 shows this conventional design; it has the disadvantage that this extension can only be inserted into the cutout of the other flap with difficulty and using both hands. To avoid this disadvantage, a somewhat arched design of the extension is suggested, the base line of which

half cut. If the extension is pushed into the other flap, it bends slightly , the bent part hooks into the slot of the other flap, and the flaps can no longer be easily pulled apart. Only one hand is needed to put the flaps together.

An example of the proposed innovation is shown in the attached drawings!

Picture 1 shows the right half of an open tender folder. Picture 2 shows the conventional design of an extension. Picture 3 shows the proposed new design of the extension in detail.

The opened right-hand side 1 of a tender folder in Figure 1 has a flap 2 on the side and a flap 3 underneath, both of which are folded inwards in the illustration. A slot 4 is punched into the flap 2 so that an extension 5 of the flap 3 can be pushed through it. This extension is shown enlarged in Figure 3. Its base line 6 is half-cut so that the extension 5 cannot be easily pulled out of the slot 4 after being pushed through.
