Identification carrier for an electronic assembly in a cuboid housing

The innovation relates to a marking carrier for an electronic assembly in a cuboid-shaped housing.

In the case of narrow electronic modules, so-called flat modules, which are arranged in rows in module carriers, it is difficult to attach the necessary labels, such as the name and order number of the module, version, short operating instructions, in a clearly legible form due to the fact that the narrow front side is occupied by connectors, operating and display elements.

Previously, such markings were attached to the side surfaces of the assembly, but they were only readable when the assembly was pulled out.

However, it is required that the identifying information of an assembly can be recognized even when it is installed.

This requirement can be met with a marking carrier having the features of claim 1.

The slide with the labeling surfaces is mounted in the housing of the module in a space-saving manner. However, after being pulled out, it has two or more labeling surfaces that can be labeled directly or provided with adhesive labels. The location of the label and the type of label can be designed uniformly.

Accessibility and legibility of the markings are particularly good, since the slider in a preferred design can be swivelled up or down around a joint, so that it can also be used for modules that are in module racks or cabinets in

Examples of implementation of the innovation are shown in Figures 1 to 3 and described below.

In the upper side surface of the cuboid-shaped housing 1 of a ( flat module) there is a flat recess 3 extending from the narrow edge of the front side 2 ] , which is provided with lateral 10 guide grooves 4 for a plate-shaped slide 5.

The slider 5, which is shown separately in Figure 2, has

* a longer front section 6 and a shorter rear section 7, with an articulated connection 8. Two parallel slots 9 are provided in the rear section 7, so that laterally spring-loaded locking lugs 10 are created. When the slider 5 is pulled out, these locking lugs 10 snap into openings 11 in the side walls of the assembly housing 1, as shown in Figure 1. There, the slider 5 is pulled out of the recess

When not in use, the slider 5 is pushed into the recess 3 and is held there in a force-locking manner by the _spring -loaded locking lugs 10 guided in the guide grooves 4.
