Pull-out with attachable drawer

The invention relates to a pull-out, in particular for kitchen furniture, which can be pulled out and pushed in into a furniture body and has a front wall, wherein a drawer is guided parallel to the pull-out in the furniture body.

In known designs of this type, the drawer is positioned at a considerable distance above the pull-out shelf. In order to access the drawer, first the pull-out shelf and then the drawer must be pulled forward one after the other.

There are also already pull-outs in which a drawer* is firmly connected to the front wall of the pull-out.

With such known pull-outs, the pull-out shelf and the drawer are pulled out together when the front wall of the pull-out is pulled out. The disadvantage of this solution is that the pull-out shelf is not accessible from above but only from the side.

Based on this state of the art, the invention is based on the object of creating an extract that combines the easy operation of the latter solution with the good accessibility of the former solution, without having their respective disadvantages.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that a locking mechanism is provided on the pull-out, which is designed to detachably connect the pull-out to the drawer.

Such a solution has the advantage that the drawer is always pulled out when the pull-out is extended and is immediately accessible. If the pull-out floor is to be accessed from above, it is sufficient to release the locking mechanism and push the drawer back. Since the contents of the drawer usually have to be accessible more often than the bottom of the pull-out guide, the design according to the invention makes handling easier.

In a preferred embodiment, the locking mechanism is arranged on the inside of the front wall of the drawer. According to a further feature of the invention,

It is advisable for the locking mechanism to have a latch for engaging behind the front wall of the drawer.

The provision of a spring-loaded latch represents a particularly simple construction of a suitable locking mechanism. Such a design allows engagement with an easily accessible area of the drawer, namely with the lower edge of the front wall.

According to a further feature of the invention, a compression spring is provided between the front wall of the drawer and the front wall of the pull-out. This compression spring is preferably attached to a housing of the locking mechanism. The compression spring is preferably a bending spring.

..; The provision of a compression spring which is effective between the front wall of the *'" drawer and the front wall of the pull-out means that when the locking mechanism is released, the drawer immediately moves out of the locking position and can then be pushed in by hand without further ado.

In drawing figures 1 and 2 , the worktop covering the furniture body 13 has been omitted for reasons of better clarity. Figure 3 shows a top panel 3 of a furniture body which can take the place of a worktop.

The furniture body 13 has known pull-out guides (not shown) for the pull-out 16 on the one hand and for the drawer 1 on the other. The pull-out 16 and the drawer 1 are guided in the pull-out guides arranged in pairs on both sides. The pull-out 16 has a base 17 and two side elements 18 as well as a front wall 4.

A locking mechanism, designated as a whole by 5, is provided on the inside of the front wall 4. The locking mechanism 5 has a housing 9, which is attached to the inside of the front wall 4 with fastening screws 10. In the housing 9, a slider 12 is mounted so that it can move transversely to the pull-out direction or the push-in direction. The pull-out direction is symbolized by the arrow 14/ the push-in direction by the arrow 15.

The slider 12 has a handle 11 and a latch 6 as well as an inwardly bent projection 19. A return spring 7 for the slider 12 is arranged between the projection 19 and the inner wall of the housing 9. The return spring 7 presses the latch 6 into its locking position behind the lower edge 21 of the front wall 2. To unlock the latch 6, the handle 11 is pressed downwards. After the latch 6 is released, the slider 12 is moved by the return spring 7 until the projection 19 rests against a stop bent inward from the front of the housing.

When the extension is pushed in, the inclined surface 22 of the latch 6 runs along the lower edge 21 of the front wall 2 and the latch takes up the position shown in the figure.

A compression spring 8 designed as a bending spring is provided on the housing 9. The compression spring 8 pushes the drawer 1 back when the locking mechanism is released, so that the drawer 1 can easily be pushed by hand into its rear position.
