Nach dem Wickeln von Metallband auf einer Haspeltrommel zu einem Wickelring hat daa Metallband die Neigung, wie eine Uhrfeder aufzuspringen. Würden keine geeigneten Gegenmaßnahmen getroffen, dann würde infolge der dadurch entstehenden Instabilität ein geordnetes Abnehmen des Wickelringes von der Raspeltrommel und der weitere Transport des Wickelringes gestört. Eine das Aufspringen des Wickelringes verhindernde übliche Maßnahme besteht im Umreifen des Wiokelringes mit Draht oder Verpackungsband. Eine andere Gegenmaßnahme ae^en das Aufspringen besteht darin, das äußere Metallbandende mittels eines Klebebandes festzulegen.
