The invention relates to an end piece or termination piece for cable sheath pipes for inserting or removing several individual cables/preferably three cables into or out of their interior/in order to introduce them into buildings as part of subsequent cabling measures.

The introduction of underground cables into existing buildings through wall openings in the basement masonry presents minor difficulties, which are mainly related to the careful sealing of the cable entry in order to prevent gas or water from penetrating into the basements of buildings through wall openings that are not sufficiently sealed.

Recent experience has shown that it has often happened that during heavy rainfall considerable quantities of water have penetrated into houses through leaky openings in walls.

Cable sheathing pipes are usually inserted into wall openings and the space between the pipe and the wall opening is filled with a sealant. In a number of cases, an additional seal is placed on the cable sheathing pipe on the outside of the masonry to ensure careful, additional sealing. The cable sheathing pipe ends outside the masonry. The cables are usually inserted into this to lead them into the interior of the building. The cable or cables are then secured in various ways to the

The method described above has shortcomings. If the seal between the cables and the cable sheathing pipe that holds them is insufficient, there is a risk that gas or water can penetrate into the building. Since it is possible to introduce several cables into the building through a cable sheathing pipe that has been inserted into a wall opening, the seal or sealing compound must be removed when laying cables later, if this is at all possible, in order to be able to insert a second or, if necessary, third cable into the cable sheathing pipe. All of this causes considerable effort, and if the original seal cannot be removed, there is a risk that the end of the cable sheathing pipe will be damaged, possibly so badly that the entire wall opening must be replaced.

The invention is based on the object of creating an arrangement/in particular an end or closure piece for cable sheathing pipes, which can be connected to the end of the cable sheathing pipe and through which the cables can be introduced into the interior of the cable sheathing pipe. Above all, this end or closure piece should offer the possibility of being able to subsequently introduce a second or third cable through the cable sheathing pipe into a building in a simple manner, without the need for the more or less considerable effort mentioned above.

An end and closure piece for cable sheathed pipes designed in this way makes it possible, on the one hand, to provide a proper and good seal at all relevant points, which is durable and resistant^. and, on the other hand, to subsequently insert additional cables without any difficulties.

Further features of the subject matter of the invention emerge from the subordinate claims and the following description of two preferred embodiments, which are shown schematically in Figures 1 and 2 of the drawing.

The end or termination piece 11 has a central pipe section 12, which is provided with a sleeve 13 at one end. The pipe sockets 14 and 15 open into the central pipe section 12 at an acute angle. The end of the pipe section 12 opposite the sleeve 13 forms a third socket 16, or the socket 16 can open coaxially into the pipe section 12 or merge into it, particularly if it has a smaller diameter.

If a cable sheath pipe has an external thread 18 at its end 17 that is to be connected to the end piece 11, the sleeve 13 is screwed onto the cable sheath pipe end 17 using the internal thread 19. For the purpose of better sealing, the inner end of the sleeve 13 and the outer end of the cable sheath pipe end 17 have smooth walls. The two grooves 20 in which the sealing rings consisting of O-rings 21 are located are located either in the sleeve 13 or in the wall of the cable sheath pipe end 17 in order to ensure a good seal between the two joined parts.

In order to prevent deformation of the ends of the pipe sockets 14/ 15/ 16, cylindrical sleeves 22 made of a solid material are inserted into them, in particular pressed in, so that their cylindrical shape is retained. Closure caps 25 provided with a sealing washer 24 are screwed onto the sockets IA/ 15/ 16 provided with a thread 23, which ensure a tight closure when no cable has yet been pulled through the respective pipe sockets 14/ 15/ 16 into the interior of the end or closure piece 11 or into the cable sheath pipe 17. If the pipe sockets 14/ 15/ 16 are occupied by a cable, cable sealing elements are screwed onto the threads 23 of the pipe sockets 14/ 15/ 16 instead of the closure caps 25, by means of which the space between the cable and the inner wall of the pipe socket is sealed in such a way that neither gas nor water can get into the interior of the cable sheath pipe 17.

In the embodiment shown in Fig. 2, the cable sheathing pipe 17* has no external thread; it is simply placed on the sleeve 13' of the end or termination piece and connected to it in a form-fitting or force-fitting manner. In order to ensure an absolutely secure seal between the sleeve and the cable sheathing pipe, there is an annular groove 26 in the wall of the sleeve 13*, which is filled with a permanently elastic sealing compound. In order to be able to introduce this into the annular groove 26, there is a nipple 27 on the sleeve, through which the compound can be pressed into the groove 26. Sealing rings 21* are advantageously additionally arranged in the annular grooves 20* on both sides of the annular groove 26.
