The invention relates to a locking device for use with park benches or seats, as well as park seating in rows or individually, as well as in public and non-public buildings where ^the seating should not be moved unintentionally.

There are various options for immovable but detachable connections, such as using screws, where the individual elements are screwed to the base part, using pins and cotter pins, or by nailing.

These conventional fastening methods require a lot of work for necessary repairs or cleaning and maintenance work. On the other hand, connecting using plug and split pin locks is not sufficient, so that misuse and theft of the system devices is made much easier.

In order to exclude the possibility of unauthorized use as far as possible and to achieve a high degree of theft protection and ease of maintenance, a solution was created with this invention.

This locking device is intended in particular to create a firm connection between the supporting part and the seat part of the seating or bench, as well as the supporting part of the waste bin and the waste bin itself, as well as with the floor part and the above-ground part of bollard posts and barriers.

For this purpose, it should be possible to release this locking device using standardised keys and locks, such as above-ground hydrant keys in accordance with DIN 3222/3223 or DIN 14925, as well as using simple socket wrenches (triangular, square, hexagonal , etc.). Another requirement is easy handling when making the connection. This problem is solved by the fact that when the plug pin (1) is inserted, it closes automatically due to the weight of the product or due to light pressure.

Another problem is the ease of opening and releasing the connection. Due to a spring-loaded counterpressure on the plug pin, it slides back slightly after opening with the lock from the plug device, so that the bench (chair) can be removed without holding the key. This is particularly important for larger benches, where weight plays a major role.

A further requirement is that when opened and released, the opening of the lock cannot be damaged by contamination. This is also solved in the new invention by the fact that the locking opening is closed by a flap with spring pressure.

The invention represents a particularly advantageous possibility for the rational use of park benches, especially for communities and cities.

When using this invention, it is no longer necessary to dismantle and re-adjust individual damaged slats on site. This creates the possibility of efficiently dismantling the entire bench as part of the general maintenance and cleaning work and replacing it with an already standardized, refurbished bench. This saves the unsightly bench tunnels. The necessary repair and cleaning work can be carried out more efficiently and precisely in a maintenance hall and workshop, whereby weathering influences no longer play a role .
