Windowing insensitive to salinization for radially loaded
Steam turbine operating experience with modern turbines using high pressure steam
and high temperature processing have shown that the inevitable content of the
Steam and salts can lead to sensitive disturbances because, often after a short time
Operating time, the blade channels are narrowed by salt deposition so that a
scheduled operation is no longer possible. There, as I said, the salt content of the steam
is an in most cases unavoidable operational size, the endeavor must
go there to design the blading in such a way that the disruptive effects
the salt deposit should be pushed back as far as possible. One has the following consideration
employed: If one assumes that the blade channel has a width of 10 mm and that the
Salt crust is i mm, the result is a narrowing of the blade channel by i
o%. If the blade channel is expanded to 20 mm, a crust of 1 mm means
only a narrowing of 50/0. So the expansion of the vane channel is a
effective means of reducing the influence of salinization. With the channel expansion
However, it is not enough on its own, because in order to ensure orderly flow conditions,
got to. with the channel widening also be connected to a channel widening, which is carried out by
correspondingly widened blades is created.
This measure is permissible as long as the with the enlargement of the
Blade dimensions necessarily associated enlargement of the support ring dimensions
in the case of the radially loaded turbine does not interfere with the overall structure of the machine.
These
The limit is reached relatively quickly, because with
As the blade size increases, so do the forces exerted by the blade support rings
must be absorbed, and these forces can only be controlled if one
the support rings enlarged accordingly. An enlargement of the supporting ring cross-section
in the axial direction leads to an increase in the overall length of the machine, to a
associated shift of the critical speed and to other difficult to control
Apparitions. Then only the path remains, the axial enlargement of the support ring cross-section
to be replaced by a radial widening. This increases the number of people to be accommodated
Blade rings reduced, d. H. the quality of the machine suffers.
The invention is based on the assumption that the channel widths are increased
is a useful means of reducing salinization if it is
succeed; to avoid the associated reduction in the number of stages. That is
possible if, according to the invention, with a non-opposing, radially applied
Turbine with the head and foot held in support rings; in terms of bucket width
and channel width enlarged blading the enlargement of the channel width and thus
the blade width is only laid in the guide blades. So there are guide vane channel width
and blade width selected to be greater than that of the associated rotor blades, where
one naturally 'with the dimensioning of the blade channels and blade profiles in the tread
will go as far as it will without any harmful repercussions on the structure of the machine
is possible. As long as the support rings of the rotor blades still have such dimensions
can get that the length of the machine does not grow impermissibly, one will
also choose the blade channels in the salinization area larger than you would without
Consideration of the salinization phenomena would do. The enlargement of the guide vane dimensions
does not have a negative effect on the machine because of the guide vanes
the centrifugal forces are eliminated, so the support rings in spite of the increased
Blade profile do not need to be enlarged in the radial and axial directions.
To what extent is the ratio of the channel width between walkway and guide signage
must deviate from one another "in order to achieve the purpose of the invention, will depend on the case
need to be determined on a case-by-case basis. One will generally see a difference in the radial
Must introduce a width of at least 2o%.
To avoid any misunderstandings about the nature of the invention,
it should be noted that with the well-known proposal; the channel widths of the runner blades
to reduce compared to the channel width of the guide blading with the invention
the effect achieved is neither aimed for nor achieved; because by having the
Leaves the channel width of the guide vanes at their normal value, so they are not conscious
enlarged, the salt difficulties just explained arise from the narrowness of the canals
Even with this blading, all the more so as the runway width is considerable
is reduced in size.
