The innovation concerns a packaging body, in particular for the shock-proof packaging of objects,
It is known to pack objects such as machines in boxes, cartons and the like using free-flowing packaging chips made of polystyrene foam. The advantage of these packaging chips is that they fill the empty spaces in the packaging container well and completely and that they are light. Chip material has the advantage over foam moldings that it is in principle reusable. However, it is generally not reused due to obvious handling defects. When it is mispacked, the chip material falls to the floor. It then has to be swept up and becomes contaminated. Most companies are therefore reluctant to reuse the chip material that accrues in the incoming goods area for packaging their own goods and dispose of the chip material in the waste bins. This means that a material that could have been reused is lost, which inevitably makes the packaging more expensive. In addition, the company's waste generation increases, which also results in increased costs.
The innovation is based on the task of creating a packaging body that, on the one hand, has the same advantages as loose chip material, but on the other hand avoids the aforementioned shortcomings, i.e. is not only reusable in principle, but is also actually reused by companies for their own packaging. In particular, the handling of the packaging body, i.e. removal when unpacking, transfer to the packaging department and reuse for packaging the company's own goods, should be simplified and made easier so that internal resistance to the reuse of used packaging bodies is reduced. Finally, the removal of the packaging bodies when unpacking and the use of the packaging bodies when packing should also be simplified.

so daß das Packpefsonai auf höhere Packleisfclingen kommt.so that the packing personnel can achieve higher packing performance.
According to the invention , this object is achieved by a packaging body in which a flowable filling material made of expanded plastic chips or vermiculite is contained in an air-permeable casing. The packaging body according to the invention is used for the packaging of solid objects in boxes, cartons and other packaging containers to pad the hollow spaces remaining in the packaging container, which results in shock absorption and securing of the object in the packaging container. The advantage over loose chip material is that it is easier to handle when unpacking and packing, that the packaging bodies can be reused and that the amount of filling material is smaller than that of loose material, since the entire empty space between the goods to be packaged and the packaging container does not have to be filled, as is the case with loose material, but padding is also possible in certain places.
In the preferred embodiment of the packaging body according to the invention, the cover has an elongated shape and is divided into a plurality of connected cushions by transverse cover wall connections. This elongated packaging body can be wrapped around the object to be packaged like a cushioning tape and the wrapping can be secured with an adhesive tape, for example. Since this rural packaging body has a certain elasticity in the longitudinal direction, it can firmly grip the wrapped object and, after wrapping, can be held to the object by its elasticity.
SchweißpunktreihenIn this embodiment, adjacent cushions are expediently separated by two transverse weld seams or weld spot rows. These weld seams or weld spot rows

Schweißpunktreihen mithave a fixed distance* e.g. 4 in the range of 0.5 to 2 cm. The packaging body can therefore be cut between the two weld seams or rows of weld points without damaging the cushions and possibly causing the filling material to leak out. Preferably, the cover material is always between the two weld seams or rows of weld points with
Perforation is provided so that one or more cushions can be torn off the packaging body along this perforation if they are to be used separately. Smaller or larger packaging sub-bodies can be formed from the packaging body according to the innovation, depending on the requirements for a specific packaging case.
In another preferred embodiment of the innovation, the packaging body is designed in the form of a square, in particular rectangular, cushion. With the help of such cushions, practically any object can be secured in a packaging container in a shock-proof manner. The advantage of the packaging body according to the innovation compared to a foam molded body covering or a foam chip material lies in the reuseability of the packaging body and in comparison to the packaging chip material in the easier handling.
Eine geschlossenzellige Schaumstofffolie, eine luftdichte Kunststoffolie oder eine LuftpolsterfolieIn the preferred embodiment of the packaging body, the cover consists of a foam film. This cover material has a shock-absorbing effect like the filling material and gives the packaging body an attractive appearance. In another embodiment, the cover consists of a flexible plastic film or a bubble wrap. The cover material must be permeable to air, otherwise the shock-absorbing function of the filling material contained cannot be effective due to the air cushion enclosed in the cover. ist* daher mit Löchern versehen* die kleiner als die Teilchen des Filillmaterials sind» Hierzu können die genannten Folien genadelt «orden, d.h4 über eine Nadelwalze geführt und dadurch mit einer Vielzahl kleiner Löcher versehen werden. Eine offenzellige Schaumitoffolie ist im allgemeinen von Haus aus luftdurchlässig und kann ohne eine solche Nadelung als Hüllenmaterial eingesetzt werden .is therefore provided with holes which are smaller than the particles of the filling material. For this purpose, the films mentioned can be needled, ie they can be passed over a needle roller and thus provided with a large number of small holes. An open-cell foam film is generally permeable to air and can be used as a covering material without such needling.
According to the preferred embodiment of the innovation, the plastic chips consist of polystyrene, polyethylene or polyurethane foam. In general, polystyrene foam is preferred. It is important that the chip material is soft, so that the filling of the packaging body can give way under pressure. On the other hand, the filling material has sufficient shape recovery capacity, i.e. after the pressure is released, the filling material and thus the packaging body essentially returns to its original shape.
Preferably, the casing and/or the chip material has antistatic properties. This prevents the casing in particular from becoming electrically charged as a result of friction, e.g. due to constant vibrations during transport.
The chips are ideally between 0.5 and 3 cm in size. The shape of the chips can vary greatly. However, the filling material should be free-flowing so that the casing can be filled by machine. If the packaging body is to make the packaging leak-proof and/or fireproof, vermiculite should be used as the filling material instead of the plastic chips.
Bevorzugt kann als Chipmaterial auch ein Recycling-Schaumetoff, z.B. ein Recycling-Schaumstoff aus verschiedenen Kunststoff-Preferably, a recycled foam material can also be used as chip material, e.g. a recycled foam made from various plastics
In this way, foam waste or foam chips that were previously thrown away and whose disposal therefore incurred costs can be recycled.
Es zeigenTwo embodiments of the innovation are described in more detail below with reference to the drawing. They show

In the embodiment according to Figures 1 and 2, the packaging body consists of a substantially rectangular casing 1 which is filled with a filling material 2 made of particles of expanded plastic, e.g. soft polystyrene, to form a cushion 3. The casing 1 is formed from a foam film web which was folded at the edge 6 and whose edges parallel to the edge 6 were welded at 4 ; to form a tube. This tube was then filled with the filling material 2 in a metered manner and welded along the transverse weld seams 4 and separated along the weld seams 4 to form cushions 3. The closed-cell foam film serving as casing 1 was needled before the packaging body was formed in order to make the film permeable to air.

Kissen 3. Cushions 3. Adjacent cushions, which are otherwise designed similarly to the embodiment according to Figures 1 and 2, are connected via two layers of covering material, which are connected by two parallel welds 4, which results in the separation of adjacent cushions 3. A perforation 5 is provided between the welds 4, which allows one or more cushions to be easily torn off. The cover 1 is provided with small holes as in the embodiment according to Figures 1 and 2, so that when pressure is applied to the cushions 3, air can escape from them, and the shock-absorbing function is taken over solely by the filling material 2. Due to the softness and elasticity of the filling material 2, the cushions 3 expand again when no more pressure is exerted on them, whereby air flows into the cushions again.
Der erfindungsgemäße Verpackungskörper hat im Vergleich zu losem Schaumstoff-Chipmaterial oder Schaumstoff-Formkörpern mehrere Vorteile:The packaging body according to the invention has several advantages compared to loose foam chip material or foam moldings:
Compared to loose chip material, handling is easier.
The packaging bodies can be reused because, unlike loose chips, they are not subject to contamination and, unlike foam molded bodies, they can be used regardless of the shape of the items to be packaged .
3. Als Füllmaterial kann kostengünstiges Recycling-Material eingesetzt werden.3. Inexpensive recycled material can be used as filling material.
