Abstract

The invention relates to a liqueur bottle made of glass, but in particular the bottle is intended for storing yoghurt liqueurs, e.g. liqueurs that are sold as fruit yoghurt liqueurs.

Normal optical glass ^already absorbs certain ultraviolet rays, but a more extensive effect against UV rays requires special, expensive types of glass or expensive glass coatings. The invention is intended to eliminate adverse effects on the bottle contents, but this should be made possible with simple technical means while retaining conventional, inexpensive types of glass for bottle production.

To solve this problem, according to the invention, the bottle is provided on the outside with a slightly milky, translucent, firmly adhered covering layer, which has the effect of reducing UV influence on the liqueur. This very thin-walled layer, which can be applied by spraying or squirting, for example, can have the above-mentioned effect as such, but can also have such an effect through additives. It is advantageous to apply the above-mentioned covering layer as a glaze and, if necessary,

a protective, physically essentially neutral protective layer, preferably in the form of a varnish coating, must be provided.

It is also possible to give the mentioned top layer additional properties. It is advantageous, for example, to incorporate particles into the top layer that reflect light. This can be done in particular using reflective plates. These reflectors have the advantage that the bottles equipped with them can be easily identified visually. The bottle is a glass bottle in the known manner, and its wall is marked 1. The outer surface of the wall is provided with a firmly adhered covering layer 2 made of a suitable plastic. The covering layer is milky, but translucent, so that the color of the bottle's contents can still be seen to a sufficient extent _. The covering layer 2 is prepared in such a way that it absorbs about 20 % of the UV radiation coming from outside, which is particularly true with regard to short-wave UV*.

The cover layer 2 also contains randomly arranged reflectors for normal light rays, preferably in the form of fine, thin plates, which can have a size of 0.1 - 0.5 mm and can have any shape. These reflectors make it easy to identify the bottle. In addition, small elevations are created by the glue mixtures. The fine reflectors are designated 3, and the elevations created by them have the reference number 4. In addition, the reflectors 3 should not be arranged close together, but at a distance that is approximately ten times greater than their width or length.

In order to make the top layer 2 more resistant and safer against external mechanical influences, it is coated with a protective, colorless layer of varnish, designated 5.

It should also be mentioned that only the side surfaces of the bottle are provided with the coatings mentioned above. At the bottom of the bottle, or in the area around its bottom, the wall is bare and free. The wall 1 is otherwise clear and not colored.
