Height-adjustable folding furniture.

The invention relates to a further development of folding furniture equipped with ^a sliding guide with a locking device according to DBP "4941803. While the known folding furniture of this type only allows the seat of an armchair to be folded up towards the legs, for example, the main object of the invention is to create height-adjustable folding furniture, which preferably combines the simplified height adjustment with a further possibility of optionally folding up in two different directions, thereby gaining an additional possible use and/or a safeguard against unintentional change in the seat height or folding up of armchairs when moving the folding furniture.

This object has been achieved according to the invention essentially by the design of the sliding guide with locking device for height adjustment and folding in accordance with the characterizing part of the main claim. With the help of such a further developed fitting design, the possibility of changing the height setting and folding the seat upwards against the backrest, for example in the case of a folding chair - preferably while leaving a cushion for the seat and backrest - and of folding it up again into the various positions of use as a seat has been achieved simply by lifting the seat and swinging it down again without any further handling. Figures 1 to 3 illustrate, as an embodiment of the invention, a height-adjustable folding chair in three different main positions of the seat 3; namely in a sitting position (Fig. 1), a first transport or storage position 3 ¹ folded upwards onto the backrest 4 (Fig. 2) and in the second transport or storage position 3" lowered downwards onto the pairs of legs, in which the folding furniture can also be used as a comfortable lounger.
