Description
Zurückgewinnung von Eisen aus Thomasschlacke mittels Magnetscheider Das Patent` f;43 981 betrifft ein Verfahren, zur Zurückewinnung von Eisen aus Thomasschlacke mittels' Magnetscheider unter Anwendung einer Reaktion zur Überführung der in der Schlacke enthaltenen unmagnetischen Eisenverbindungen in Eisen und magnetische Eisenverbindungen und kennzeichnet sich dadurch, daß zur Umwandlung der unmagnetischen Eisenverbindungen der Schlacke während des abschlackens feste Reduktionsmittel (insbesondere Kohle, Koks oder Waschberge) zugegeben werden, worauf die Schlacke gemahlen und der Magnetaufbereitung unterworfen wird. Es hat sich gezeigt, daß man auf diese Weise mit einem wirtschaftlich tragbaren Verbrauch an Reduktionsmitteln die Eisenoxyde aus ihren schwer reduzierbaren Verbindungen, z. B. Erfindungsgemäß wird eine weitere Verbesserung dadurch erzielt, daß der flüssigen Schlacke außer den erwähnten Reduktionsmitteln Sand oder andere kieselsäurereichen Stoffe, beispielsweise Schweißschlacke, Glas, mit Sand umgeschmolzene Sodaschlacke, Phonolith usw., zugesetzt werden. Durch diesen Zusatz wird nämlich das Herauslösen der Eisenoxyde aus ihren schwer reduzierbaren Verbindungen gefördert und gleichzeitig in an sich bekannter Weise die Zitronensäurelöslichkeit der Schlacke erhöht. Aus dem letztgenannten Grunde ist es an sich bekannt, der Thomasschlacke 'Sand od. dgl. beizumischen.
