Establishment in Railway Signal Lamps It is known in Railway Signal Lamps
to provide an opening in the upper wall of the lanterns to allow the incandescent lamp
discharge heated air to the outside; accordingly one has one at the bottom of the lantern
Opening provided to supply fresh air. It is also known for double lanterns
to provide small holes in the lower part of the partition to equalize the pressure
between the two rooms. A significant heat transfer from
One room in the other could not be achieved through this, and it was
not intended.
In contrast, the invention aims at signal lanterns with two rooms
bring about a heat balance between the two rooms, which according to the invention
as a result, something happens above: the luminous body which catches the warm air
and a material that conducts heat well is provided to conduct the heat
in the neighboring room. This ensures that the formation of hoarfrost
on the lens or cover plate is prevented. In many cases z. B. before
a diffusing screen or colored screen or both at a certain distance from the lens
intended. Instead of the warm air from the room in which the light source is located,
To let them go directly into the open, they are led into the neighboring room, the one between
Diffuser and lens is provided. You can then either go through this room first
provide ventilation or else. do without venting at all and
Provide a hot air circuit. This then cools down on the
Diffuser
so that it has cooled down sufficiently again in the room in which the light source is
is located, returns, and on the other hand prevents the formation of hoarfrost and
Snow on the lens.
The subject matter of the invention is explained in the drawing, for example.
In Fig. i ist i eine Signallaterne, die durch eine Glühbirne :2 beleuchtet
wird. Oberhalb der Glühbirne ist eine Metallscheibe, z. B. Kupferscheibe 3, angeordnet,
In Fig. I, i is a signal lantern which is illuminated by a light bulb: 2. Above the lightbulb is a metal disc, e.g. B. copper disk 3, which is also heated by the air heated by the incandescent lamp, rising upwards and protrudes on both sides of the lens 4 into the space 5, which is between the lens and lens 6. This room is .therefore heated, and the air contained here consequently also smears the diffuser 6. A ventilation opening 8 can be provided in the upper wall 7 of this room 5, through which the warm air can escape, with a corresponding opening 9 on the Floor io of the lantern is provided, through which fresh air is fed. However, it is more expedient to provide a circuit for the air in such a way that the air remains in the housing and only carries out a continuous circuit from the lamp to the lens and back. For this purpose, as shown in FIG Arranged collecting cap ii, from which the warm air is guided downward through a channel 12 and into the room 5. From here it strokes the diffuser 6 and is returned to the upper edge 7 of the room through an opening 13 into the incandescent lamp room. In order to ensure that the air sweeps along the entire surface of the diffusing screen or color disc 6, a special guide disc 14 is attached in front of or behind the disc 6 so that the air is guided along between the two discs 14 and 6.
According to the invention, one can make further use of the lamp heat
can still be achieved by giving the warm air that has accumulated in one lantern to the other
Lanterns that light up less often or for a shorter time than
the main lamp. So one would use the warm air for signals that basically show red
from the red: lamp to the green and yellow lamp and can do this
therefore also provide a circuit that goes from the red to the yellow and green lamp
and from there back to the red lamp.
